I never really told him what I wanted, I preferred if he chose something that he liked and made him think of me. He got me exactly what I wanted which made it even more special

I wanted an oval since they tend to make fingers look longer, and my stubs need all the help they can get But I ended up with a round halo that is GORGEOUS! And honestly, when FH was on his knee holding out the open box, I completely forgot what I thought I wanted! He was proposing, so nothing else mattered

He asked for a reference pic before ring shopping when I said I liked rings with filigree along the setting. He ended up buying the exact same setting I sent him because he couldn't find anything else that matched my description. 🤣

The 1st picture is the ring i first fell in love with at the store, the 2nd and 3rd pictures are the rings I’m deciding between for when we have the money to get me a nice ring, the 4th picture is what I’m wearing right now. It’s a $9 CZ ring from walmart. It does the job it’s supposed to, but it’s definitely not what I imagined I’d be wearing xD

I envisioned a very simple band with one center diamond, something timeless. About a year before we got engaged, he asked me the styles I liked and then also spent time talking to my sisters about the final choice.

Low and behold, he got me something that is PERFECT - unique, but still exactly my style and so gorgeous. It wasn’t one on the list either. He did such a great job.

I always envisioned an emerald cut sapphire ring if I got one at all. I ended up with an amethyst halo. (I did tell him amethyst or sapphire) It was still perfect.

My FW and I just picked ours out together. It was just way more expensive than we thought! We both got the rings of our dreams, though Glad yours worked out as well! Your ring is lovely and so unique! Where did you get it?

I had no idea about what kind I wanted or what kind of ring he had in mind. So we went to the jewelry store and asked me to pick out my ring. I love the ring that I picked.

I originally wanted a radiant cut ring but got round instead. I actually love when my FH chose in the end and I’m very happy with it.

I wanted an oval shaped diamond with a thin gold band and got exactly what I wanted ☺️💕

We never discussed rings. I didn’t even know he was going to propose! We had been dating for 8 years. He knows I like surprises. He picked this ring by himself from the local custom jeweler. He said it looked like me.

Also we live in the “Gold Country” in California. And a lot of the gold they use to make their jewelry was found in the local river. People like to Gold pan around here.

He did pretty good! For the most part exactly what I wanted!

My FH was looking online for older rings. I was not thrilled about that idea at all but he was certain that was what he wanted to do. I was thinking a ring with bad prior history would be bad luck. I was expecting to hate whatever he picked. I was pleasantly surprised with his selection. He did find it online, it is an antique, Old European Brilliant cut. I had never seen anything like it. I love it so much!
