Engagement shoot inspiration

Congrats on your engagement! We had ours taken during mid May, which ended up being absurdly hot in the northern Virginia area. I’m really happy with ours, but we ended them early due to the heat. These are a few of my favorites.

We spent an hour at my great aunt and uncle's lake house at the beginning of this month for a sort of "trial engagement photoshoot". My MOH took these and just wanted to take these for fun to get ideas for when she does our real photoshoot. My FH and I really want our engagement pictures in October in Nashville, IN!

I did something really funky and went to this food pop up museum ahaha. I wanted something weird like me and colorful. This was our favorite shot. We had some other super colorful ones like us holding hands on some literal donut swings aha.

July 2020 wedding and we took our engagement photos this past June, just as the lavender was blooming. Mix of outfits-casual and formal. I’d say go for what makes you happy! (These are just proofs as we’re waiting for the final edits, but I’m in love).

Our wedding is in October 2019 and we did our pictures at the end of May. It was so hot but we ended up with amazing pictures and 3 outfit changes. I wanted to have pictures done in the fall but we didn’t actually book our photographer until March. The next best thing was winter, then spring. But I couldn’t find a photographer in time. These are my favorites but it was hard to chose because every picture my photographer did was amazing!

We did ours last July! We did it mid morning so it was sunny and we didnt get too hot until towards the end. I love summer and this time worked out best for a friend of mine who took the photos for free!

We recently took ours! We did two different outfits and three different places. It’s was very hot (we live in AZ) so it's surprising we didn’t look like we were dying in these photos. 😂

We had a Christmas wedding so wanted our e-pics to reflect a winter/Christmas vibe.

View Quoted Comment Yes we will also include our dog in the wedding.y fiancé got me another dog for my present and he is included in the wedding. He was too young to come with us for the engagement pictures so that was a little sad.

We had ours taken back in May, in our hometown of Livermore, CA. It's where we are getting married, and we wanted locations around the downtown area, that we grew up with. It ended up being super hot that day, but at the time of the shoot, it was 7am, so beautiful weather! We did it so early because downtown is very popular, and we didn't want our photos to be crowded with people!!
