I have started thinking a lot about this as I am looking at our guest list. We have quite a few kids 10 and younger attending the wedding and reception. I keep thinking that kids will probably get bored easily during cocktail hour and any other not so upbeat portion of the night. I think once the dancing starts we might be fine but before then I think it might get hard to contain them lol especially the younger ones. I am looking for something entertaining for them to do is anyone else doing something for kids? Like maybe providing crayons and coloring pages or glow sticks. Do you have a separate kids table to put it all or how would you provide the kids things without making your tables look tacky.

I have read people saying a wedding isn't a place for children but mine is an hour from everyone's homes including my own. Since I know the majority of people are staying in a hotel and traveling I am not going to expect anyone to find a babysitter.

Just tell their parents to pack the Ipads, and games boys Smiley smile

Or see if you can rent some.

The kids at our wedding went CRAZY (in a good way) on the dance floor the whole night. Crayons would have been abandoned.

I offered to hire a babysitter or someone to supervise the kids if my siblings wanted, but it wasn't necessary.
