Envelope addressing

Kim, on May 24, 2019 at 6:29 AM Posted in Planning 0 35

Hi there! I am just about to start addressing the invitation envelopes and am wondering how you are doing yours? I would be addressing mine by hand, makes it more personal. I plan to write the return address on the flap of the envelope. How are you doing yours? Are you doing it by hand as well? Printing? Hiring somebody to do it

I would love to see your envelopes!

I designed ours too from scratch! But had them printed professionally. How many are you doing?

I have okay handwriting and my FH has good handwriting, but we don't have enough envelopes for him to mess up and redo since he would be a perfectionist about it. Haha. For both STDs and invitations, we will be printing the addresses onto the envelope. I was going to just buy labels so it would be quicker, but FH would prefer to print them directly on the envelope. So he's in charge of that.

I am having everything printed on the envelopes simply because my brother is doing all that for free through his company. I want to do the return address on the flap too! Are you using a white envelope? I was thinking about this but wasn't sure if I should do a colored envelope or just stick with white.

We printed directly on the save the date envelopes ourselves and had took advantage of the free address printing that basic invite offers for our invites and thank you cards!

The print boutique we used offered free addressing for both the recipient and return address. I'm so happy that this service was included!

My envelopes are white! I thought about doing colored envelopes too but they cost more, and I'm afraid I might have issues with USPS. Speaking of USPS, I hope I won't have problems with the return address being on the flap.

I did mine by hand too, it didn't look amazing but I wanted to save money. Good luck with the addressing process!! You got this!

I do calligraphy, so mine will be addressed by hand. I have a stamp I could use on the RSVP envelopes, so I'm debating either doing that or also doing those by hand as well.

I put it in the upper left corner on the front of the envelope, but I really like the look when it's placed on the back flap

I have a self-inking stamp and a rubber stamp. We are doing inner envelopes and outer envelopes. Our wedding planner is going to address everything so that's one less thing for us to do.

We have printed labels with our name and address for the return labels but I'm hand writing all the guests name and addresses on the envelopes!

We chose our invites based on who offered free printed addresses! We got ours from Zola but I know Basic Invite does it as well.

I do a little calligraphy as well that's why I want to do it by hand. Stamping is a good idea too!

I’m thinking of doing this! What font and type of pen are you using?
