Envelope hacks?

Natasha, on May 6, 2020 at 2:01 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 5
In need of some help here! I’ve already had my invitations sealed and stamped ready to go since early this year. Of course with everything going on we’ve had to postpone the date to Aug 1st, is there anyone who knows how to open up the envelopes without damage. Or anyone else going through this? I’ve tried the freezer hack to no avail. I’m just not looking forward to spending more money on the envelopes and (def. not needed custom) stamps. Here’s a pic, and tbh I’m pretty proud! Use a blow dryer, the heat should loosen up the adhesive.

I second the blow dryer suggestion! Let us know if it works!

I read somewhere that you can use a steamer (or steam from a kettle) to get them open. I would think you'd have to be pretty careful, but that would probably be the next step if a blow dryer doesn't work well enough. Good luck!

If the blowdryer doesn't work maybe try to put a towel on it then use an iron?! Best of luck, they look beautiful!

So I tried the blow dryer technique and it didn’t do anything, I let it on the envelope for quite some time and what I noticed is that it kind of made ripples in the top flap. I will be trying the ironing technique later tonight. Fingers crossed this works! Thank you guys for the tips as well!
