Escort cards by couple/family or by person?

Zaina, on April 17, 2023 at 3:21 PM Posted in Planning 0 5
Is it wierd if I have escort cards by person only? Wedding wire exports by table by person not by groups and it would be way too manual for me to combine couples. In addition not all families are sitting together because I have to split up aunt's/uncles and their children etc since there's so many. I grouped my cousins together and my aunt's and uncles together as they have been used to for the rest of the weddings.

I'm wondering is it wierd? Because I have a few people that I don't know but they're someone's +1 and I want to make sure they're able to find their cards. Everyone else is by name. Thoughts?

I had a separate escort card for each person. For those plus ones that you don't know the name of, you could reach out to your guest to ask who their plus one is, or you could put "[Guest Name] - Guest" on the escort card.

Definitely per person. Agree with Lisa. For guests you don’t know the name of, reach out to the partner that you know and ask for first and last.

    Cards should read as:

    Person’s First and Last Name

    Table Number or Name

Meal Choice (if you’re doing fixed menu)

We did separate escort cards for each individual guest. It’s easier all around that way.

The correct way is individually, not by couple. You would reach out to anyone who is bringing someone to find out the name ahead of time. Most traditionally, there is no such thing as "and guest." You would need to get the name and send a separate invitation to that person. Same goes for escort cards. The guest would find their card like everyone else, alphabetically.

Thank you all! This made my life easier bc excel did all the work for me to alphabetize too. I need to do that for the venue.
