But doing escort cards everyone has to crowd around one table looking for their name?

Is there a story?? Did she throw a big fit, or (on the other hand) did she come through and really help out?

Escort cards are typically organized in alphabetical order, seating charts are usually listed by table number. I, for one, would find my name in alphabetical order much faster than looking through each table.

That's a good point, I didn't think about that! I think with the number of guests we are having a seating chart will be better because I'm not sure where I would put 300 escort cards.. but I might do 2 boards, one with tables 1-15 and 16-30, to break it up. Also two boards would allow for the font to be a bit larger

I'm not quite sure what "escort cards" are but we're not doing any sort of seating arrangements. Other than the reserved family table for our parents the guests can sit wherever they like. We decided to do it this way because 1.) Its less of a hassle and 2.) Over 1/3 of our guest list is his family that wouldn't stay seated where we assigned them, jump around from table to table mangleing with the other family members.
We will be doing name cards that indicate their meal choice. But it needs to be per venue specifications (i.e. more then a little cow or chicken sticker on the card)

No seating chart. I only have 3 people in my family and he has 40 so it would be hella lopsided if there was any assigned seating. And try to get a bunch of Italians to stay in their seats lol

We're thinking escort cards as of now, but that might change between now and the wedding.

Not wasting money. Bought a multi frame picture frame that can be used in our home after the wedding for pictures. Will have a print out of the names and tablet assignments, cut them into 4x6 size and put them in the frame. When its over take the printouts out of the frame and pop in family pics. Hang on the wall. end of story.

Escort cards for sure! Originally I wanted to have a seating chart, but they started to become crazy stressful, so FH said lets just give them a table number and they can sit where they want at the table. Agreed Smiley smile

Escort cards! I think a seating chart is a bit of work that I don't want to do. I don't want to offend anyone by putting them at the "wrong" table and I want people to feel comfortable being able to choose who they sit next to. I am also making wooden coasters as the "escort cards" with everyone's names which will also be their favor to take home.

Definitely a seating chart. I will have a few tables reserved for close friends and the other tables will be open for everyone to choose their seat.

Neither. I'd prefer my guest to pick their own seats.
