Escort Cards or Seating Chart?

I really didn't have an opinion on this, figured we'd do a seating chart bc it would be easier, but then stumbled upon about 250 wine bottle corks for sale on Facebook for FOUR dollars, so I'm DIY-ing place card holders!

Neither. My FH and I both think assigning seats for adults is a little patronizing.

Neither. Everyone can sit where they want. Because we are a smaller wedding we will have more than enough seats. And the tables will be in a long row anyway.

We have not gotten to this in our wedding planning yet. I really like both options, so I'm not sure... also not sure how FH feels about it (if he has an opinion! Haha).

We are doing escort cards! We went to a wedding this past weekend that had absolutely no assigned seating and it was chaos. Literally people running around trying to save themselves a seat.

I feel like assigning every guest a table is a nice way to thoughtfully acknowledge that they are there, and that you have put some thought into who they might enjoy getting to know. Only assigning immediate family might come off as some guests are second rate.

Our venue provides a seating chart so that's one less thing for us to worry about.

Seating Chart, I don’t know why but I didn’t even think about escort cards.

    Neither. It'll be open seating..we aren't having a huge wedding so I don't think it's necessary

Escort cards. Super easy. Super inexpensive we just chose a pretty font, bought them at Michaels and printed them at home.

I think we'll be going with a seating chart - my sister is really talented at calligraphy and we found this beautiful seating chart she can do for us. I'm so excited to showcase her work!

We’re doing a hybrid. A general table arrangement seating chart then escort card paper planes that match everyone to their table, but seats are open, just assigning tables.

Small wedding, so I'm guessing guests can sit anywhere they would like.
