My friend handmade beautiful escort cards for me. I love keeping the cards as a memento from the wedding of someone close to me, too.

We are using a seating chart. It's always a hassle when people have to search for their names and wait in line for an hour just to grab their card and it's a waste of money to pay for stationary. We are just using two identical seating charts on either side of the entrance door to the reception.

Neither, they'll choose their own seats.

We're going in a slightly unique direction. We're doing a seating chart on beer growlers. Each growler will be a table, and we'll hand write the names on them. My fiance works at our local craft brewery, so we want some of the details on the big day to reflect that.

I think we’re doing a seating chart, and will have name cards at the table since we’re doing a plated dinner and the caterer needs to know each person’s meal selection.

We want to create unique escort cards, but I'm still thinking on the best way to hold/display them. I don't really want to just have them randomly on a table. We're getting married this November, so we have a fall vibe that we'll incorporate into the day. Anyone have ideas on how to slip/attach our escort cards easily into mini pumpkins, or maybe an easy DIY display idea that we can make? I'm all ears. Lol

We are doing a seating chart. Unfortunately not everyone gets along perfectly and I’d like to avoid any issues. I am hoping to be able to send the table number to everyone or possibly have it added to the website so that people know ahead of time. The chart will just be for backup in case someone forgot. I want everyone to have a great time. I don’t want my wild aunt to be forced into the only vacant seat next to my conservative grandmother. I’d rather her at the table with my wild FSIL. They’d have a good time. She can still mingle with her momma throughout but she isn’t under the watchful eye that would come with sitting at the table with her. I would have loved a sit where you want atmosphere but when you don’t have extra seats someone is bound to end up at a table they don’t want to be at or guests are trying to rearrange themselves because there aren’t enough seats at any one table to seat a family together.

Maybe escort cards so the line doesn't get backed up staring at the seating chart.

Escort cards. We purchased some paper stock that was perforated into business card size and we will put it through the printer to put the names and table numbers on them.

Seating chart for sure. Cheaper than printing escort cards.

Escort cards...I have a weird 15 mins window between the ceremony and the cocktail hour (for the DJ to gather his equipment from the green and bring it inside so I thought this would keep people busy and chatting with people they may not know.
