We doing escort cards! I want to have people at certain tables (mostly because I want to make sure my parents and grandparents are near the front) but, I don't care who they sit by. So I'll have a seating chart for my personal use but just escort cards for our guests.

I'm still debating what I want to do. I think escort cards would be easier (maybe). Whatever we do, we will be doing them in alphabetical order.

We are doing escort cards and using candy so they have something to snack on while they wait for dinner. Like the image below but with a different candy

We're doing escort cards because it's easier all around. Large enough to read from a distance, no traffic jams, guests can refer to it on their way to the table even with getting sidetracked with conversations on the way. Also if you're doing a plated meal, they can be color coded to correspond with meal choices that waiters can see without having to ask (just give the caterer a heads up first).

I am doing escort cards! I found fun forest-themed card holders and cards on Amazon, so I'm planning to use those.

We did escort cards. They looked like hockey tickets which was my husband's idea since he loves hockey.

We're doing a seating chart because I didn't want people to be gathering around the escort card table and picking up all the cards.
We basically made the seating chart pretty big so people could see from a further distance, and I'm planning on posting a picture of the chart to our Facebook event page so if people just want to refer to that on their phone they don't need to go look.
If it were not pandemic times I would be doing escort cards. Seating chart cost was about $50.

I just got our seating chart/welcome sign printed at Walgreens poster size for $22 and borrowed a frame that were already had hanging in our bedroom. Our table names correspond to places we went/things we did during our anniversary trip when FH proposed.

We’ll be doing escort cards. I personally think if they are are in alphabetical order on a table it’s easier for people to navigate and not cause a backup at the door. The stationary company we are using charges the same for either so 🤷🏽‍♀️ I

We’re doing a seating chart. There’s a perfect place to put one right before entering the reception, but there’s no good place for a table. We are going to put the names in alphabetical order instead of grouping by table to make it easier for people to find their names.

We will be using escort cards in alphabetical order. Each card will have a small pic on the bottom that coordinates with their meal selection, as it is a plated dinner. If having a buffet, you can choose either option!

We did a seating chart. Easier, cheaper, and fit our theme (baseball/theatre) better. Also, we had buffet, so no need to worry about meal choices.

We did a seating chart. To me, it looks nicer and takes away the clutter of all the name cards.

We are doing a seating chart. One thing that helped me make my decision was people told me at their wedding if an escort card got knocked over or had fallen, those individuals would rush up to the mother of the bride, bridal party, sometimes even the bride and say they didn't have a table to sit at, which caused for confusion and frustration, so we chose to just stick to the seating chart!
