So has anyone purchased a pdf wedding invitation from etsy??? If so, did you end up buying your own paper to print them on? What kind of paper did you purchase to print them on? I'm thinking about purchasing a pdf wedding invitation off of etsy and buying possibly 120lb cardstock paper and taking it...

I'm thinking about purchasing a pdf wedding invitation off of etsy and buying possibly 120lb cardstock paper and taking it to a local printing store. I'm a little nervous doing this, I want them to look nice. Any input will help

I did. I had Office Depot and they printed them for me. They turned out awesome!!!

The paper they printed mine on was cardstock 110lb. Office depot print invitations all the time so they knew exactly what to do.

Many thanks for this thread!! I used this thread to help with figuring out how to make last minute wedding menus for my micro wedding! I ordered off Etsy, got the instant download, customized the menus, and saved them as PDF with no bleed. I emailed them to staples and they showed me their card stock. Went with plain white and only needed 15 copies. They printed off a sample but the font was huge. Looked like an 8x10, so they were able to print them a smaller sized sample, which was great, but they did mention that the templates can cause issues sometimes. They had them ready next day, but said for so few it's usually a same-day order...they just had a lot for print at the moment. $15 to print and $10 to cut. If you're a scrapbooker and have a nice cutting tool, then you can save $10 there. I didn't have mine with me, so paid instead. Overall cost came to $30 for 15 copies. Pretty pricey but not terrible and wish I'd had that scrapbooking cutter! The quality wasn't astounding, but the paper was thick and they looked nice. The font and design color came out as expected. When we have our bigger wedding, I want cotton menus and would need to work on a special order from somebody with a printing press. I'm sure they'll be very expensive, but these came out super nice; definitely recommend. Staples staff was great!
