Etsy, Vistaprint and Wedding Invitations

Summerfield Bride, on January 6, 2015 at 12:12 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 11

Hi WW ladies, so I am in the process of finalizing my wedding invites. I am ordering a template via Etsy and plan to print myself (professional printer) and I was wondering if Vistaprint as an option. I went on there and would defintely be able to print the wedding invite because its a 5x7, however I did not see an option for RSVP card and detail card size. Did anyone else upload a template to vistaprint for the invites? I could always order wedding invite on vistaprint and then get other ones printed locally. Thoughts?! Just trying to find the cheapest way.

I would recommend getting everything printed from the same place so the paper matches. I ordered std from vista print and had a great experience. I don't know if the have a custom size option to accommodate the other cards. If you want to go with an online printer try cat print. I have heard great things, and they do custom sizes, so you will be able to get the RSVP and details and printed.

I didn't use vistaprint because they didn't have the sizes or paper color I wanted, so I can't help you there, but I had my invites printed by catprint and they were fantastic.

I ordered mine through etsy and vistaprint. I went through the marketing materials option and you could do a 1/4 page print with 4 copies of your rsvp card on them.

I loved my std from vista print. The only reason why I did not order my invites is because they did not have what I was looking for.

I used VistaPrint and they do have RSVP cards. If you look under wedding and scroll down there should be a package with the invite, reception and RSVP cards (with envelopes). The only thing I didn't like was the quality of the envelopes that come with VP.

Yep I totally uploaded a design to vistaprint to print out.

We did our RSVP cards from a different printer because we wanted them smaller but uploading worked perfectly there too. And we just did thank you notes on vistaprint postcard doing full photos on both sides that I uploaded fully designed (so it didn't even look like a postcard any longer).

This is the exact reason I didn't use Vistaprint. My RSVP cards would have been too large for what I wanted.

I did use CatPrint and I loved them. They'll send you a free hard copy proof so you can see exactly what your piece will look like and you can request a free paper packet to pick your paper. They are quick to respond via email or phone (I contacted them both ways), you can make custom sizes, and their prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend them.

I used Etsy/VistaPrint for both the invitation and the RSVP card, but the RSVPs were postcards. I just uploaded the design as a small postcard and it was fine, except for some quality control issues.

I know I sound like a broken record, but order from VistaPrint way in advance in case they need time to fix errors and re-ship (which they will do, happily and for free).

    Hi,

please help. I need to order my wedding invitation cards.

So, I wanted to know if its important if the name of the future bride appears first and then the groom

Or the groom followed by the bride.

your help will be much appreciated

I totally uploaded my designs to vistaprint to print out. STD's on postcards. Invites on rack cards. and lodging info and contact info on business cards.

I did order my rsvp's that I designed from another online vendor because they had a smaller size then vistaprint carried.
