Ever wish you had just eloped?

The wedding is coming in fast. Going over all the vendor's, the balance due sheet and all the little details that still need to get done. Did you ever sit back and wish you had done it smaller? I love my FH and cannot wait to be his wife, but all of the money, stress and things that need to be done...

I love my FH and cannot wait to be his wife, but all of the money, stress and things that need to be done in the next 6 weeks....it is overwhelming. I know it will be beautiful, but I am ready to head off to Maui and Kauai and put all of the wedding planning behind me.

We originally wanted to elope and honestly should have just done it. We asked both our parents how they would feel about that. Mine were fine with whatever we chose. My grandma (my uncle eloped and she was FURIOUS) and his parents were very adamant that we have an actual wedding. So then we had a very small list - immediate family only. Was supposed to be only 20 of us and then we would have a small party with friends after. But then we figured since we're already planning a party, might as well add the friends. So then its 35 people. His mom asked about out family list, and want to invite a few more members, which leads to inviting even more connected relatives to avoid the whole, 'you got an invite and we didn't' thing. So now we're over 50 people 🙃🙃🙃 we haven't paid for another than my planning book. We've been venue hunting since the beginning of April, and I'm SO OVER IT. sorry this was more ranty than advice, but at least you're not the only one.

Haha, I think this is very normal! I’m 3 and a half weeks away (YIKES) so I totally feel you on this one. I keep going back and forth between “I hate this we should’ve eloped” and being in a state of complete calm where I’m honestly just happy to see my family and friends and to marry FH, and I don’t care what else happens! Trying to push myself to focus more on the latter!

Both me and our pockets! Lol I always wanted a gorgeous wedding and FH wont let me have anything less. But being my own planner, completing a certificate program for counseling and working overnights was exhausting. I'm so glad to be done and sit back and wait for the day!

My first wedding was huge. I knew I didn't ever want to do that again. This one I started with hoping for no more than 50 people. Now I'm thinking I don't even want that many. $20,000 is a downpayment on a house! Why am I spending it on one day? The day will be awesome and I'm sure I'll be glad I did it, but I'm seriously thinking about trimming the list.

All of the time. I wanted to elope or to do a small destination wedding. FH really wanted his 94 year old grandfather to attend. 187 ppl later (not counting us) - I wished that I would have pushed harder.
