Everly at Railroad Tuckahoe nj

Wehavechemistry, on July 5, 2020 at 4:56 PM Posted in New Jersey Planning 2 6
So I know this is probably putting the horse before the cart, but does anyone have information on this venue? BF and I saw it on Instagram and we were dying to go to their shop. We then realized it was a wedding venue and think it would be an interesting place to check out. COVID hit and they aren’t answering any inquiries (which makes sense).

Brides, has anyone held a wedding here/will be holding a wedding here? Does anyone have information about pricing? We want to save up and be realistic as possible about budget. If anyone could provide some insight, I’d greatly appreciate it!

Hi! I can’t find any reviews for them here on WeddingWire, but it does look like they have quite a few reviews on facebook!

Another one of my favorite venue research tips is looking for real wedding galleries from photographers. Just google search “Everly at Railroad Real Wedding” and I see several recent results!

Thanks. I probably should’ve clarified that I’d like to hear from folks who held their wedding here/have actually gone to the venue because they’re considering it. I have searched google, Facebook and yelp. Nothing was specific enough to indicate potential price points, etc.

Hi! I was supposed to have my wedding at Everly in March. It was postponed to this December, and now we are looking to move again. So, I haven't had my wedding there *yet*, but can provide a little insight.

I was first introduced to Everly because I am in a wedding band, and we had a gig there a few years ago. It's a beautiful, eclectic venue. As soon as I stepped foot on the property, I knew I had to have my wedding there one day.

While I don't know if they are increasing pricing for 2021, for 2020 the standard cocktail hour + 4 hour reception, and 1/2 hour ceremony if you choose to have on premises = $6,850. Then there are other expenses, such as NJ sales tax, night of staffing fee, etc. They also require you have a day of coordinator (you have the option to add this on through them for a fee), and a liability insurance policy for the day.

    Hope that helps!

    Hi Stefanie,

I was just looking at the venue as well and I was wondering how many guests that price was for.

Hi! That is for up to 225 guests. Over 225 is an additional $500, with 250 being the maximum.

Cautionary tale from a bride who chose this venue.. I should have seen the warning signs from the day my husband and I visited but were obviously blinded by how much in love we were with the venue.. We came with a list of possible caterers (those who we knew had catered there before and from friends who had attended) the way the owner put them down without knowing anything about us or our ties to them should have scared us right then and there. Looking back it was horrid how she spoke above people who she had worked with and prior guests who gave their reference. Then when they suggested a few caterers themselves... each one we met told us how disorganized and rude the owner and her staff was... needless to say that was another red flag we ignored. We also had a floral appointment which was missed by the owner, who did not seem to care and then rescheduled us for 2 months later… you are a true DIY bride here… they will not help you so do not fall for their “day of coordination” fee… please Then covid hit... and the year and half planning we had done was met with a "Pick from these 4 dates or lose every cent you paid entirely" Even if it meant paying 8,500 (venue, outdoor wedding and day of coordination) for 25 people to sit outside on their lawn on a Wednesday months down the line and praying the state was open by then. Please please Beware! These people are only looking out for themselves and have been threatening in their emails to my husband and I and we are still out every single penny we paid them. We also made the stupid mistake of paying our final payment early.. which they are also keeping along with our 1,000 refundable deposit. They hide behind emails and refuse to actually talk on the phone. They ignore you or they threaten to send you to their lawyers and charge you for their time if you ask too many questions. I have been told that by asking questions or not being ok with their lack of covid guidance was selfish. I plan to post every single email from them and this is the first time I am breaking my silence after we tried every avenue to get in contact with them to have a conversation to come to an amicable agreement. We asked for the state to help us and Everly even ignored the investigator from the state! There is a reason you can barely find information on them out there.. I am positive this is by design. Find yourself a venue that cares about you and your future spouse and one of the biggest decisions of your life. Not to mention a pricey one. I have friends who had weddings scheduled during 2020 and their venues called them, helped them and worked with them the best they could. Never not once did Everly do that. I am sure there are many brides who had an opposite experience.. but please know this is not the venue who will be on your side when times are tough You matter too! Do not be blinded by the beauty of this venue.. there is a true ugliness hiding there and they will always make sure they are taken care of before you. Ask the tough questions of the venues you are looking at, ask them how they handled covid and read those contracts! Sometimes it’s not always good to go with the less know ….
