Every penny (or dime) counts, we are paying for our wedding almost entirely on our own so I'm always interested in little money saving ideas. If you're like FH and I, there is always spare change laying around the house.

So I saw this on Pinterest and thought I'd share and maybe try it out. Supposedly if you fill a 2 liter bottle with dimes, it will equal $700. Based on the math I'm seeing, I would think more like $500 but still, that's $500 that could go towards something in the end, like honeymoon activities. Our wedding is in June so I'm sure there's no way I will fill a 2 liter bottle (or even half of one) by then but I figured I'd try it out and just see how much I can total by wedding time.

Again, this is just something fun I thought I'd share and I'm sure it won't actually amount to that much. Maybe others will want to try and share their totals too.

I have a piggy bank too. I cash it in once a year Smiley smile I don't get a ton of money, but I am terrible with lose change.

We have one of these jars but we only put quarters in it. it sits right by our front door so we both just empty our pockets when we walk in the door (mine usually accumulates in my purse until my back starts hurting). Last time we cashed it we had a little over $500 for our vacation to Disney. It's one of the best ways to save for us because you can't "see" the money.
