Everyone isn't a BRIDEZILLA! RIGHT?

"Don't be a bridezilla, I already know! you will be ONE" Why do people assume that ALL brides are bridezillas? That is so annoying! Some, like me, actually don't want to be one. Why do people assume that ALL brides are bridezillas? That is so annoying! Some, like me, actually don't want to be one. I want to have fun on my BIG day and be at peace with everyone, so I get so annoyed when people are always like, "oooh the bride always turns evil on the wedding day."

Why can't they just be positive?

It's like, do you want me to be a bridezilla? Be careful what you wish for...

Anyone gets comments like that?

How do you deal with them?

(going to the gym real quick, sorry if I don't reply right away)

Yeah - I think people throw that term around too much. I had a lady at work call me one because I had already booked the ceremony and reception venues 18 months out. Because I was planning ahead, I was a "Bridezilla control freak" in her mind. No lady, just don't like coasting in on the coattails of others' hard work at the 11th hour, waiting on luck to pan everything out for me...

My MOH has permission to slap me if I become a bridezilla around her. It seems like if you want something a certain way, then you are a bridezilla. I think that bridezilla is defined by extreme over the top tantrums if things are not exactly perfect or one who makes unrealistic demands (plastic surgery requirements for bridesmaids) or who takes it to an extreme. I remember seeing on the show a girl who knew her bridesmaid needed a cane to walk and told her during the rehearsal that she couldn't use her cane on the day of. That is a bridezilla. Not wanting calla lilies (lord I am sick of calla lilies) does not a bridezilla make.
