Wow, I didn't realize you had chosen such an expensive dress. Yeah, $200 is a lot to spend on a child's dress they will only wear once. Based on all of your responses to suggestions/advice, it seems like you have made up your mind. Get the cheap dress and hope. What else is there to do?

Most bridesmaid dresses come in within 2-8 weeks of order, so your bridesmaids do not need to order for a few months, nor the kids. I hesitate to buy any special items for my kids 6-8 months in advance, because they grow in spurts, and unlike adults, not mostly in girth. A couple of family who wanted my youngest as flower children (?) have seen something they liked, bought it ahead, knowing clothes were a little large.
Only to have them completely unusable , and past the return dates, so I had to start over at 10 weeks. I would buy no sooner than June. Even where cost is no problem, most young girls do not wear any low cut, bare or sexy dresses that many BM do, so they dress to coordinate with BM dresses, not match, in style and color. And as first daughter Bridesmaid, even a soft print makes it more likely she would wear it as a party dress, again. My little ones really got a kick out of being able to wear their wedding things out to a few restaurant parties, and at least one family holiday dinner with pictures. Also an opportunity to talk about the days, happily and with pride. At their ages, I hope they are not really in to price comparisons, because that is really unhealthy. What make dress are the bridesmaids wearing?

View Quoted Comment Unfortunately these dresses do have to be ordered 6-8 months ahead since they have to order the dresses in the colors. I talked to the shop about the latest they could be ordered. I can't remember the maker of the dress. None of my bridesmaids will be wearing low cut dresses and they are long dresses since it is fall and most likely will be cold. I want everyone to look presentable. Having low cut bridesmaid dresses aren't a thing I like.
