Excel spreadsheet

Lav, on January 10, 2021 at 5:38 PM Posted in Planning 0 10
Hi - I just got engaged and I don’t know where to start with my excel spreadsheet... does anyone has a model they could send to me by email?

I’ve already have lots of notes about planning and stuff I would like at my wedding, but I need something to show my Fiancé and an Excel would be great!

Email: *******************@*****.***
Thank you in advance!

I would recommend the All-in-one Wedding Planner by Google Docs (or Google Sheets or whatever it is)....just search for “google sheets wedding planner template,” and it should come right up!

I did a list for things needed to buy, one for things needed to do, one for guest list and their contact (address or email), one for timeline

Make a list for guest list, a list for venues and vendors (contact info, services, pros/cons)

Is there something specific you want the spreadsheet to include? We created an Excel spreadsheet for our budget. It had a line item for each thing. My husband is actually the one that created it.

We made an excel for task- divided by when to complete, who is responsible and any notes, one for spending and one for vendor information.

I made a spreadsheet that's been really helpful in keeping things organized. I would be happy to send it along. There are rows for each category (dress, tux, cake, flowers, venue, food, etc.) then columns for the associated vendor for each item, contact info, payment due dates, total cost, budget cost, notes (like what exactly is being included in each category). The separate columns for total cost and budget cost helped me see where we were splurging vs saving. I also included a percentage for tax, tip, and contingency so as long as the actual numbers stay within the contingency we're doing okay.

I also recommend having a guest list with names, addresses, whether or not their invitation was sent, RSVP received, meal choices if you need that, gifts received, and thank you notes sent. Some websites like Zola and probably the Knot can help keep track of the guest info if you do everything through them but it has helped me to have it as another tab in the planning spreadsheet.

Google sheets is amazing and there is a template for "Wedding Planner". It has all the categories you could possibly want/need.
