Excel spreadsheet?

Taylor , on May 21, 2018 at 4:45 AM Posted in Planning 0 24
Does anyone know of a good template that I can plug all of my wedding expenses in and keep up with my deposits and what’s to be paid/balance? I tried looking on Pinterest but have yet to find exactly what I’m looking for.

Thanks in advance Smiley smile

Exactly as your title says, we have been using Excel spreadsheets for both expenses and guest list with addresses. Has been working pretty well for us and you can color code with it!

I tried to do the excel spreadsheet on my own but I’m not familiar with the formulas so everything will populate right. So I guess maybe what I’m asking is for a template? Lol

What are you trying to do through Excel? I don't consider myself a pro at it so my spreadsheet is pretty simple. You can also Google some of the formulas if you want to learn more. I am not aware of a template already set up with the formulas.

Excel actually has some preformatted spreadsheets you can try to download. i found some useful but for budget i preferred just creating my own in excel. you can google how to use the formulas feature if you’re not sure and you can set it up to calculate everything. yay organization! lol

I made my own. Actually it’s on the Apple version, numbers. It has like 25 sheets on it lol. I didn’t color code anything, but I do use sort and I do use formulas for some expense things to multiply and to add.

I use spreadsheets from Offbeat Bride, you can download from the offbeatbride website. They have a few (guest list, etc) and you can choose which ones to download, or you can download them all as a package. But the Budget spreadsheet is exactly as you describe Smiley smile

I am using one that is editable and has all the formulas in it already (was recommended to me by acousin who used it). I changed the color and appearance some, but so far so good! Its free, at this link:

I made my own. I just have different columns for due dates, amount due, amount paid, tips, etc. It's been super helpful. I didn't really like the budget tool on ww.

You know about the budget feature here on Wedding Wire, right? We're using that and it works great! You can find it under planning.

I am using Google Sheets (basically Excel). I made one for my wedding expenses and one for names, addresses, and RSVP responses. I set ip up to auto add the expenses and the number of guests.

I suggest Offbeat Bride or Green Eyed Girl Productions! Both have templates you can download for free!

There are some great youtube tutorials for how to use excel that can really help. Excel is an insanely powerful tool, I highly recommend taking the time to understand it instead of just using a pre-downloaded sheet if you have the time. I use excel for a ton more than just keeping budgets (for the wedding alone it is being my budget keeper, keeping track of who is invited to what/staying where/RSVPd, printing up to date guests lists of different events, doing the autofill for all of my printing of envelopes/STDs/etc)

A Practical Wedding has a good one that I based my own off of:

I'm using Google Sheets, and I just made my own spreadsheet. My headers (going left to right horizontally) are Vendor Type, Vendor Name, Deposit Paid, Remaining, Date Deposit Paid, Method of Payment, Date Contract Signed, and Notes. It's been super helpful!
