Excellence El Carmen (punta Cana)

I have a coworker who had been and they said it’s amazing. I was also looking into them because we want to go to an exclusive resort as well. And Excellence is adults only so it sounded even better. Let me know how it goes please. Safe travels!

I’ve never been, but our travel angent recommended this place when we were looking at Punta Cana! He said that’s where he would stay if he were going! We ended up going with Riviera Maya or we would’ve probably stayed there!

We went to the Excellence resort in Cancun for our honeymoon and enjoyed it. The Food was excellent and the beach was nice. We did find the entertainment not as well done as other resorts we’ve been to.

I went back with my FH back in 2013 and loved it. Make sure you order the coco loco (it's basically a pina colada but in a coconut). The beach was beautiful, the staff was super helpful, and there were several pools in case you weren't feeling the beach. Plus I LOVED that it was adults only. I did think the food was just kind of so so at some of the restaurants, but for the price I paid I couldn't really complain. I loved not having to worry about paying for anything. We only stayed in a basic room and I still had a fantastic time. We didn't do any excursions but mostly hung out by the pool or the beach. FH played a ton of volleyball in the pool. We would go back if there weren't so many other places we haven't explored yet. Our honeymoon is in Thailand

Hope I think you may have possibly went to Excellence Punta Cana? Excellence El Carmen (also in Punta Cana) just opened in 2016.

Hello, we went and had an excellent time at Excellence El Carmen. However, prior to going I read several reviews on TripAdvisor about theft at this resort and unfortunately it is something that happened to us. It was a small personal item but still left a impression. Overall, the resort is fabulous though. We did not do any excursions other than visit a coffee, rum, and chocolate factory one day. However, I've heard many people recommend the excursion to Saona Island and Monkeyland.
