Excellence vs beloved vs secrets playa mujeres?

We went to Excellence El Carmen in DR for our honeymoon. It was amazing. Their Playa Mujeres location is supposed to be their best one. I went to a different Secrets in Mexico, and it was ok. I would choose Excellence over Secrets. Beloved is owned by the same company as Excellence. My parents just came back from there. They loved it. They had gone to Excellence Riviera Cancun last year. Beloved is very quiet. No entertainment at night or anything. You can do excursions from any of them as they are usually through an outside company with representatives at the resort. If you want a livelier resort, I would go with Excellence or choose Beloved for ultra low key (with phenomenal service and pampering).

We went to the Excellence in Punta Cana in 2018 and its where FH proposed. Its right next to the one called El Carmen.
Our resort was amazing and we loved every minute of it.
The water is a but rough on that side of the ocean, because its right where the atlantic and Caribbean sea meet. So the water wasn't as crystal blue as you see in other places in the DR, but the waves were a lot of fun.
The food was wonderful and everyone was super friendly.
We are planning to go to the couples resort in Jamaica for our honeymoon.

Team Excellence right here! We recently went with my family to the El Carmen one in DR and we all loved it. We booked the Excellence Oyster Bay in Jamaica for our honeymoon next year!

My sister went to Excellence Playa Mujeres for her honeymoon 4 years ago and she said nothing has been better after trying a few other resorts around the world. They loved it so much they are going back in 2 months.

Excellence Playa Mujeres is AMAZING. I haven’t been to either of the other two, but I think Beloved is next to excellence and didn’t look as good ....food and drinks- so good. Beach- awesome.... I found starfish in the water... also drove jet skis right there. They treat you like royalty there... especially if you mention that it’s your honeymoon. There were many excursion options - I went Tulum. You will not be disappointed. Get a swim up room or a room with the rooftop plunge pool.

View Quoted Comment I think the off resort excursions cost as much as they would at any other resort. I honestly don’t remember how much the jet skis were, but we were on a relatively strict budget, so it couldn’t have been that much- we drove them for a half hour. There were paddle boards, kayaks, beach yoga classes, archery, bicycle trips, cooking classes and other activities that were included. There is a spa on site - we got a couples massage that was crazy good and not overly pricey. I cannot say enough good things about this place.... the food including the breakfast buffet were so good. 24 hour room service - included!! The rooms are stocked with liquor and chips and sodas and snacks... fresh fruit.... it’s so good.
