Expected cost for photographer and dj

This depends on a lot of things: what area you live in, how many hours you're booking them for, how much experience they have, whether they include an engagement photo session, whether they include a second shooter, whether they're providing ceremony and reception music (or just reception), whether you add on uplighting and/or a photo booth, etc. In my area, I've seen photography range from $800 to $4500, and DJs ranging from $500 to $3000. I recommend making a list of what you'd like to be included in each package, and price out some options in your area that include everything you want.

There a million factors that go into the prices of each. This is an international forum so no two people even in the same city are paying the same prices. Do a Google search in your area for vendors. Browse their websites and get in touch to see how you click. Prices should be listed on the websites. If they are not, scratch them off the list.

We got our photographer for 1250 and the dj comes with the reception package buuut did see an inexpensive dj cost

Oops clicked send too soon but the dj charged $380 for 5 hrs. Which was super good compared to all the other prices I saw. Also the photography I mentioned above would be for 8hrs which I also consider a good price compared to others that I saw.

Our photographer was $950 with 4 hours coverage and engagement session. My fiancé friend is a dj so no cost but i quotes them around $1,400

We have two photographers. One is 1200 and the other is 900. Our DJ is 1000.00. We have two photographers to first capture all of the guest we are having and secondly one will specifically take black and white photos to capture random moments of guest. She has a very artistic way of capturing natural interactions that I had to have. While the other is specifically for formal bridal/ wedding pics.

Im in Des Moines, IA. We're paying $3500 for photographer (10 hours coverage, engagement shoot, and sneak peek photos within 48 hours) I'd say his pricing is average for our area. We're paying $1495 for DJ (ceremony and reception sound system, 8 hours of coverage plus 1 for ceremony, uplighting, and monogram) this is pretty inexpensive for our area but they had a discount package through our venue.

It really depends! It takes a lot of research (and scrolling through Instagram) to find the perfect photographer. I've seen some that offer packages that start at $1k and some as high as $13k.
For dj I've seen $800-2k
