Extensions

Virginia, on July 18, 2019 at 10:20 AM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 4

Hi girls! I was going to just do clip in extensions for my wedding but I have now decided I want something to last thru my honeymoon and beyond as well. Anyone else getting more permanent(ish) extensions for their wedding? Wondering which is better for a honeymoon where we plan to do a bit of swimming (both ocean and pool). What is everyone else doing? Tape? Fusion? Beads?

I just did tape-in extensions for my hair trial. My stylist said they can stay in up to 2 months! I was a little skeptical at first, but she showed me her hair--mostly extensions! So, I've had them in for 5 days now. I can wash/condition my hair like normal. They don't come out, they don't move, it's almost like having a whole bunch of new hair.

The only thing I don't like (and this is probably what happens with all extensions) is that the way they are placed, I can't really wear an up-do, like a ponytail, bun, up in a clip, etc. The hair goes up just fine, but you can see the tape in some spots. It's just not meant to do that I guess. Those of us that need/want extensions usually it's for some kind of down-do.

But so far so good. My FH LOVES them!! He says I have porn star hair now. lol

I had the tape-in kind too. Loved them. They can last up to six weeks but I wanted hem out after five because they grew out enough and I wanted a good hair wash and head scratch! You can wash & brush your hair fine but just extra careful. Ask your hair stylist how.

My hair was extra long & full for lush wedding curl hair. 😃

LOL. Cristy’s comment made me laugh. My hubby didn’t want me to get them. When I came home he’s all “whoooa. Sexy.” I told him with that hair I needed to walk around in lingerie and he agreed!

I have an appointment scheduled for the tape in ones. I am super excited to get them I can't tell you how long I have wanted to get extensions. I am doing them 3 weeks before the wedding so I can get used to the weight and how to properly care for them Smiley smile

    Hi there Virginia Smiley smile

According to this WeddingWire article (Here’s Why You Should Consider Hair Extensions for Your Wedding) tape can last one to two months and Fusion or Pre-Bonded Extensions can last two to four months, with proper care of course!

Are there any hairstylists in your area who provide these different types of extensions you could speak with and get their advice?
