Just be prepared, they will ruin your real lashes.

Beware, extensions RUIN your natural lashes. If you are 100% still committed to getting them, I’d highly suggest doing a skin test with the adhesive- lots of people have allergic reactions to it

I have eyelash extensions and it was the best thing for me. I can't wear mascara as it irritates my eyes and my eyelashes are just short and straight so they don't look good anyways. Just be prepared to sit for 2 hours while they apply them and careful not to rub your eyes as that can make them come off faster. Also one thing I did not know is that you do have to have them filled every 2-4 weeks. They do grow out pretty fast and can fall out, but like I said best thing for me. I had them done for engagement pictures and will keep them till at least the wedding.Eyelash extensions 1

I think they're worth it for something like that. I've never been a fan of fake eyelashes as I'm always worried they'll fall off and with the wedding I just didn't want to have to worry about it. Just remember to use the eyelash brush they'll give you every morning and night and they'll hold up longer! Smiley smile

They’re beautiful and I wish I could do them - Recommendation would be to do a patch test with your eyelash person before putting them on the make sure you don’t have an allergy - give time because if you do, it can last up to 5 days of bloodshot, swollen eyes. Sometimes allergies take 24-48 hours to manifest. Extension glue is different than the glue used in strip lashes so it’s best to be safe!

I’ve done extensions twice previously and I’ll be going again a few days before my wedding. My eyelashes have never been ruined.

Be careful not to rub your eyes or pull any out as that will pull your real lashes out. Careful when sleeping on cotton pillowcases too for the same reason. I use satin for my hair so I don’t have that concern. I imagine that’s what goes wrong for a lot of people they get pulled/rubbed out; or allergies. Patch testing is a great idea!
Oils can also break down the adhesive so you have to be mindful of the products you use near/on them as well. Other than those small considerations it’s exactly how you would treat your own lashes.

My FMIL does eyelash extensions. They didn't at all ruin her eyelashes, I'm not sure why so many people have that issue. She still wears make up, but she is very particular about it being oil free. I think they look lovely on her, and aren't all that expensive. Smiley smile

Yeah I know plenty of people who do eyelash extensions and I have not heard of any of them losing eye lash hair or anything. Unless somehow the tech doesn't know what they are doing, or the person receiving them is not taking care of them as outlined.

I’ve been getting lash extensions for a year now and I love them. They look sooo good in photos and cuts a lot of time in getting ready in the morning. They only ruin your lashes if you don’t take care of them properly. And always look at the work of the lash tech before you go and make sure you’re going to someone who’s credible.

Sorry the first photo was the only good photo I could find of my lashes, but this was me when I was feeling myself after I got my lash fill done lol

I don't have pictures but I used to have them and I've been to 5 salons total. Some are awful but some are great, so make sure you read your reviews & really do your research. Plan on a fill 1-2 days before your wedding and taking GREAT care of them between the fill & your wedding. Be careful & gentle when washing your face, carry the eyelash brushes with you and use the special cleaning products they give you. I couldn't go more than 2 weeks without a fill personally. When I stopped getting them (they fell off naturally, I didn't pull them off or have them taken off) my eyelashes were shorter for sure but I used Babelash for about a month every morning and applied coconut oil at night and they were back to normal (or longer) in a month so it wasn't the end of the world. I'd buy a silk pillowcase to sleep on too. They are great for weddings for sure!

Can we see them? Why don’t you think you will keep them? Just asking, because I was planning on getting mine done for the wedding too.

Sorry I look so upset in the photos. When I got home after getting them on I cried because I got so self conscious because felt like people were gonna judge.
I’m better now but I like how they came out. I don’t think I gonna do much volume think I’m gonna make it a little more subtle.

Let me know if my photos didn’t upload. Not sure if my internet is bad right now that they won’t pop up or if it just didn’t post.

    The pictures didn’t post.

But, I’m glad you’re feeling better about it now! Like you said, I’m sure you can ask for them to be less dramatic next time. Good thing you did a trial run!!

Excuse that I look like crap.
But barley feel they are there.
The girl did a great job just didn’t realize it was gonna be so bold. So when time for touch up we gonna do a little less drastic for them

OMG Peyton! I think they look beautiful!!

I honestly think it’s just an adjustment period to get used to them. It’s kind of like dying or bleaching your hair the opposite color of what you’re used to. At first, it’s a shock. But, once you have some time to get used to it - you’ll like it.
    P.S. Your ring is stunning

Like I think I’ll try out one more style before the wedding , just so I have options.
But I think it would look good for wedding but for everyday wear I feel so awkward at work because they are so bold lol.

    And thank you !

I had a subscription and got them done for months but it wasn't sustainable for me. It was SUPER expensive to keep up with and I always felt like I had weird gaps in my lashes because of the way they were glued maybe? The first two days they looked great but after that, they fell out fast. I think I sleep with my face in the pillow sometimes so I'm sure that had something to do with it! I prefer glue on lashes personallySmiley smile
