Lindsey, on October 5, 2017 at 8:55 PM Posted in Planning 0 14

I'm currently planning my wedding for Jan-march 2018. We just announced our engagement on Facebook. Anyone have advise on planning a wedding in. 4 months? I'm freaking out!

Most wedding planner apps will tell u congrats narrow your guest list , know your budget. You could start researching your local vendors before expanding out or back up, know where you are going to get married and go from there

Pick your venue first and then choose florist, hair and makeup, caterer, bridesmaid dresses, etc

Congratulations! It can be done I planned mine in 2 months!! Been engaged for a year(September 2016) and we decided at almost the end of August (2017) why wait another year and we just went for it! Some things will make you feel rushed but honestly everything is done except ordering cocktail food, cake tables and chairs but that's all getting done tomorrow! You can do it and in the end it'll be perfect!

Geez, that would be impossible in the area I got married. My sister contacted her dream venue last week and they are book up until Fall of 2020.

First start with a budget, next venue, and guest list. Be sure to be able to host all of your guests properly (catering, temperature control, properly trained and licensed bartenders, etc.).

If it's reasonably small, you may be able to book a restaurant or even a private room within a restaurant. They tend not to book as far in advance as official wedding venues.

Congrats! I'm sure you can do it. Mine is the first Saturday in January and I'm only just now booking my DJ, and there is a ton available. A lot of places book far in advance but when it's off season, you're more likely to have vendors available. Let us know how it all works out!

We did ours in 6? 15 days. So what you could do is find a restaurant, know what you can spend and get someone to marry you. I literally found an officiant on google and had great reviews. That was how we planned ours. Restaurant for 50 ppl, officiant to marry us and can we host an after party

I have been engaged since Spring and we planned on going to Vegas next month the entire time until I decided to change my mind last minute about a couple of weeks ago and decide to get married at home with family so we set the date for mid December and I already have a venue, caterer, photographer, cake, invites went in the mail today, DJ, officiant, my dress, and we are going to get his tux next week and all we have left are the all the small details so trust me it CAN be done. It's stressful as hell but I'm excited!

That what I had to do. Do the most important first. Guest list. Venue. Ceremony location. Dress. Makeup and hair. Invites. Food.

We have the guest list! Now to just find the venue. I always imagined a long engagement but my FH has metastatic cholangiocarcinoma with 6months to 2 years to live. Thus the quick wedding. It's nice to know things can be done. But I'm mostly doing it alone because chemo is kicking his butt! All my family and close friends except my cousin live out of state.

We have small things like the officiant (my uncle) and decor (from a bridesmaids family wedding stash-she has 6 sisters). I feel like with a venue e everything will fall into place.

It can definitely be done Lindsey! My wedding is 7 days before yours and I just now booked my venue, caterer, and florist! (like today.)

The venue coordinator even told me that people are booking like 2 months in advance. It happens.
