Any other couples doing this on your honeymoon?

I bought a fake set to wear when I went to Vegas for a bachelorette and when I went away for work for a week! I was traveling alone and just afraid of losing them, but didn't want to not have anything on my finger.

What sort of activities do you plan on doing for your honeymoon. I swim everyday with my ring on and it has never come off. When I first started wearing if in the pool it was weird and I was worried about it coming off, but it never has. So for simple swimming/snorkeling/scuba diving, you should be able to wear your ring no problem.

That being said, I go water skiing a few times a year and I always leave my ring at home for that. I do not want to get degloved. Currently, I just don't wear a ring at all, but I am thinking about getting a silicon band just because I feel naked without my ring.

@#ItsBeardTime - I'm concerned about the rings being stolen and/or losing them while snorkeling, diving, paddleboarding, windsurfing, kayaking and all the other activities we would like to do. I just want to make sure I don't lose the stones or the whole ring. I would definitely feel much better knowing they are safe at home - I know I will be devastated if I ever lose them.

I really don't get the point of this.

We were in Mexico in May. I wore my engagement ring the whole time, including on the beach playing in the sand, shell hunting, snorkeling, and swimming with sea turtles. It never once occurred to me to take it off or lock it up. That's why we went with precious stones and metals, so they could withstand life.

I plan to - I think that's part of the excitement is wearing your ring on your honeymoon but that being said I don't want to take the risk. Even if it's insured../

Found one at Walmart for $8 that looks very similar to mine...I got it for my bachelorette. May bring it on the honeymoon too.

Smart. My friend lost his ring in a lake this weekend while swimming with his kids. He is crushed!

@DA: isn't that what insurance is for? They can be lost or stolen from your home or when being worn elsewhere too.

@tinkerpsu... That is exactly why We bought the fake ones... I know i will be inconsolable if i ever lose my rings... Not only for the monetary value but more for the sentimental value...

And @Mna... If my rings were not made of precious stones and metal, then why would I need fake ones in the first place?

@mna... Yes we have insurance... But i still don't want to lose THE RINGS.. If you know what I mean...

And yes, they can be lost anywhere... But imagine losing them on your honeymoon... I dont want that to ruin my honeymoon, thats for sure...

I am! We are going to Italy and it's safe there but we plan to do so much exploring that the idea of something happening on our honeymoon just kills me. I take my ring off when I do super active things at home, if I hike I leave my rings home so to me it's just easier. I bought a cute cheap little wedding band.

Personally I don't understand the well you have insurance remarks. I may have insurance but I don't want to have anything happen to the rings I was proposed to with and given on my wedding day but HEY that's just me! Guess I'm too sentimental Smiley tongue

Sidenote- even if not stolen or lost, precious stones and metal can still get damaged with salt water, sand, etc. I think rose gold may be the most susceptible- in any case, it's worth looking up!

We bought silicon bands for adventuring in addition to our wedding bands. We plan to take those on our honeymoon. I know we'll use them for many other things in the future.

I didn't get to the jeweler who designed my ring in time to get my band made and now I'm looking for a cheap stand in for the wedding and photos. Anyone know who sells curved bands that might match up with this ring? I'm kinda stressing about it
