Fake engagement/wedding rings to bring on honeymoon

Yes ma'am. I did not take my real rings on our honeymoon. I bought a fake set from Macy's that is very similar to my real ring. That way, I didn't care if it got dirty, sand, suntan lotion in it, etc.

Great idea. I did the same with my engagement ring when I first got engaged. I worked in a bad neighborhood at a local health center so i didn't want to take the chance of being robbed (i would fight them too) like coworkers had been. I don't like the setting of my ring but I don't want it lost in the service of Boston's downtrodden.

I did the same thing and bought a cheap band on Amazon.

I just picked up a $20 fake on Amazon for travel. I never wanted to stress about keeping track of it in an unfamiliar place (I have ring dishes all over our house and have gotten myself in the habit of ONLY taking ring off and putting it into one of the dishes). And I don't wear it to sleep, shower, workout or to beach/pool, so it would spend too much time off my hand and in hotel room than I would feel safe with. Way easier and stress-free to sport the fake...and I got a halo setting that's 180 from my solitaire so kinda fun to change it up for a few days.

I would have never thought of this and it's sooo smart!! Right now, my brother's ring is floating around in the ocean somewhere because it came off while on their honeymoon!! Very smart thinking @DA!! Thanks for sharing!!

I have a fake one to wear before the wedding while my rings are getting soldered, but I probably won't wear it on the honeymoon. We're just staying in state, but doing a lot of hiking and outdoor activities

I purchased a second set (fake), but never wore it. I didn't need too. I just didn't wear my ring in the water, or on excursions (pretty simple). My mom had to get her ring cut off her finger because it swelled up after she injured her hand during pool volleyball. I told her not to wear it, but she insisted

I have a set of fake rings. I don't want to wear my proper engagement ring in swimming pools with chlorine or get sun lotion all over it. I'm so used to wearing a ring now it feels odd when I'm ringless. My fake ring is ideal for things like this.

What does DH stand for?

I just put my ring in the safe before we went to the pool or the beach. I have a qalo ring that I wear when I don't want to wear my actual set, but that mostly to save myself from the mini heart attacks when I feel my empty finger.
