Fake flowers cost HOW much?!

So I got a quote from Angel's Accents... for a bridal bouquet, 1 MOH bouquet, 3 BMs, 8 boutonnieres, 2 corsages = $567. I know my price will go down cuz I probably won't find 3 BMs LOL, and so will the bouts... but, does that sound about right? The flowers are all real touch... here's a link to...

I am paying around $600 or so. Bride bouquet with rhinstones, 6 bridesmaids, 5 wrist corsages for moms and grandmas, and 12 bouts for all the guys (FH, GM's, Dads)! I live in Buffalo, Ny so that could be a reason why maybe? I'm not sure. I am also doing some fake flowers myself, so around $675 for everything. I unfortunately am having a big wedding lol

I agree with hislil...my aunt is doing our flowers. Otherwise the prices you listed would def be stressing me out! They are beyond gorgeous though :-) Go with your gut..if you're comfortable paying for something and want it..and can afford it (and it's the best price of comps) then do it!

Faux flowers are thought to be less expensive but the truth is they cost just as much and sometimes, for the most realistic types, more. The plus side to faux flowers is you don't have to worry about them wilting mid reception and you can prepare them far in advance to lessen your wedding week worries if you're planning all by yourself. Also, they can serve as future home decor and lasting memories. If you purchase through a retail store, such as Joann's, or Michael's your going to pay between 5-10 for single steams! Bunches for 10-20! But if you go through a wholesaler, which once in awhile allow personal purchases without a business liscense you can get them at half that, but still just the same pricing as real ones. I was just quoted a floral price of $816 using realtouch flowers (the local florist said they are close in price to real, and i have to say they are pretty darn good looking~and will be forever) Our quote included a semi-cascading Bridal bouquet, 5 BMs, 1 Jr BM, 5 GM,1 JrGm, 2 RingB,4 ushers, 2 wrist corsages, 4 bouts (Dads/greeters) & 2 pin corsage & throw bouquet.

So I think it kinda sounds right with s/h, I was suprised at the price too. Smiley tongue

    good luck.

P.S. Have you tried a local florist? Or considered ordering offline (real touch) and putting them together yourself?

I'll look around and see is ordering real flowers or fake real touch in bulk would be better... decisions, decisions, decisions....

Hello, Danya congrats on your up and coming nuptials my name is Shayla I am a wedding planner and owner of Inspired By Elegance LLC I read your post and think that is a great price for what your getting when planning a wedding or any special event that will include florals you can expect to pay anywhere from 500.00 -to- 3,000.00 or more depending on the size, color scheme, theme and floral design chosen. I think silk flowers are a great added addition for brides on a budget just make sure that you get what you are expecting this is your special day and you should get what fits into your floral budget the flowers you feel best suite your style and personality happy planning.

I'm putting the bouquets together with real flowers but I have made the bouts and some hair pins for the girls using silk orchids. For 8 bouts (FH, BM, 2GMs, 1 RB, offiant, dads) and 6 hair pins, I have spent about $7 and that's including pins and ribbon. I went to Joanns with coupons and got orchids stems at about $2 a piece and cut them up.

After taking this photo I added a bow in a sheet organza ribbon to the top of the white ribbon. I'll have to take a new picture but I made 8 in all in less than an hour. https://www.weddingwire.com/wedding/UserViewPhotoAlbum?wid=06aab12300c687e9&pid=d15e4250a891fd8f

If you have a bit of time before the wedding and you decide to try and do them yourself, I would definitely suggest signing up for the email lists for places like Hobby Lobby, Michael's, and JoAnnes. They frequently have sales for 50% off all florals, and you'll get several coupons.

My sister spent a month or two shopping around for what she wanted, then waited until she had a coupon for 20% off her entire purchase at Michael's which she used during a 50% off floral sale. WAY cheaper!

I agree with Amber, that's what I did to save money on my flowers. My orchid stems would have been something like $6-8 each but I ended up getting them for like $2 a piece because I signed up for coupons (I signed FH up too) and I waited for a sale and used the coupons with it. If you can get friends, relatives and FH to sign up at these places and go with you, you can save even more as some of the coupons are only good for 1 item.
