Fake Flowers for Centerpieces?

Victoria, on June 9, 2021 at 3:44 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 13

I've been going back and forth between fake and real flower arrangements for centerpieces. I know that I can create beautiful arrangements with fake flowers for a fraction of the price, but is it too tacky?

It's definitely not tacky at all. I've seen some really pretty fake flowers as centerpieces before

I think it depends on the quality of the fake flowers. Some look much better than others.

What are you doing for bouquets? Just something to be aware of that if you hire a florist they usually won't allow you to use any other florals from anywhere else - fake or real. That was the case with my florist anyways - and I didn't want to deal with trying to find fake flowers. Plus fake flowers aren't always cheaper.

For my outside ceremony and indoor reception, I've decided for fake flowers outside ( nobody will smell them any ways! ) then submerged fake flowers with a few real flowers mixed into fake eucalyptus garlands for fresh floral scents in the centerpieces. Costco has flowers bulk for cheap to take apart andd trim!Fake Flowers for Centerpieces? 1

Are you sure that silks that are cheaper? You can get so many types of fresh flowers for a fraction of the price of silks if you go through fiftyflowers.com. Costco is another option. Then repurpose them by donating to a shelter or funeral home afterwards.

Dang I would not hire that florist. Unless he or she is providing the centerpieces free of charge, they do not get to dictate how we spend our money at our wedding.

I made my own centerpieces, wooden lantern with candle. She’s providing the flowers. I don’t want to mess around with flowers so she’s doing them.

And she’s not making me reach her minimum of 3,500$ Which is super nice.

That's very common to that they prohibit vthe use of other flowers because they don't want someone else's flowers confused as being provided by them.

I made my centerpieces with flowers from Ling's Moment (silk flowers) and got my bouquet and the bridemaids' bouquets from there too. I also got some good options from Michael's, Hobby Lobby, and the Dollar Tree. Was not costly.

I really don't think good quality fake flowers are that much cheaper than real flowers; sometimes they are even more expensive. I'm not against all fake flowers, but cheap ones (ones that are going to cost a lot less than real ones) do look really tacky, IMO.
