Fake Flowers

Morgan, on November 30, 2023 at 3:18 AM Posted in Planning 0 3
After my wedding, I found that a large portion of the flowers used in the bouquets were actually fake. The use of fake flowers was never discussed with our florist. For about $1k, we got 1 medium bridal bouquet, 10 small bouquets and 13 boutonnieres. Although the arrangements still looked good, I’m curious if this is common practice or if it’s typically disclosed and if the price is reasonable.

That sounds very cheap for 11 bouquets!

I would say the price sounds incredibly reasonable. However, the florist should have been transparent about what that price included. If faux florals were going to be used, that should have been disclosed. On a positive note though, your bouquets were beautiful and they must have looked real in person if you didn't even notice the faux flowers until the next day.

For that number of bouquets I would have definitely questioned the price. I can't imagine a professional florist would use real flowers and make that many bouquets for such a low price.
