Fake flowers

Good morning 🌞

So I have had a few floral appointments and I am awaiting for quotes. However being that my new date is the day before Valentine's next year, I have had a few responses that some shops my not be able to take on weddings around that time since it is a busy season for florists. So while I am waiting for the quotes from the shops that are willing to take us on, I am also exploring other options like artificial, just in case the quotes are unreasonable for flowers. For those of you who chose or are choosing to diy your own wedding flowers I would love to see your work, finished products, or any how to do pictures and advice. Maybe like the type of artificial flowers (silk, plastic, etc..) and where you found your best deals. Anything helps. Again I am just doing my research! Thank you 🙋

Oh wow I didn't even think of that! I hope you find a florist that can reasonably help you out.

I only had flowers for bouquets and I used faux. I got them already made in bouquets at Michael's ! They were really cheap too.

Thank you! I have been basically stalking my Micheals for floral sales! Although I haven't seen any already made bouquets, or maybe I have and just not noticed them because of what I am looking for lol. I will have to look better next time. Thank you!

I don’t have any pics of my centerpieces as they are already packed away but I have done all my flowers myself which includes my bouquet, all corsages and boutonnières, centerpieces, and the ceremony flowers. I got all my flowers second hand (thrift stores or Facebook marketplace) about 75% or on major clearance at Michaels (90% off sale) about 25%. All vases are secondhand too. Probably spent around $100 in total for my flowers.

I decided to go with Sola wood flowers and am so happy I did. I’m a crafty type so I’ve been having way too much fun dying them and adding glitter/mica powder to them. Here are a few pics....Fake flowers 7

I ended up doing Sola wood flowers and really liked them, but they are a lot of work. If you want natural, I’d recommend either getting the DIY arrangements from Costco, Sam’s Clubs, or there are a few wholesalers online. Whole Foods does pre-ordering too, and I know some brides just pick up whatever the day of bouquet is at Trader Joe’s

I bought all of the flowers and greenery from Hobby Lobby to make mine and my bridesmaids bouquets! Hobby Lobby has 50% off floral about every couple weeks or so!

I got all of my flowers from Michaels. I waited until they were running a sale and ended up being under $100 for all of my bouquets. They do have pre-made bouquets which I got and then disassembled when I got home and added addition flowers I had picked out to them to create the look I wanted. This proved to give my the most bang for my buck.

I did all the florals for the wedding (minus the bouquet and boutineers who I bought from a silk florist on etsy called Dexin Floral, she had a package I had my heart set on). All the flowers I got for 50% at Hobby Lobby. In total I spent about $2000 on everything together (that includes the etsy florist). I had 12 centerpieces, a fall leaf chandelier and the floral package from the etsy shop. I can give you a break down of the prices too for it all. Any extra flowers I had left over were used to be decorated around the reception area and the photographer used some for photos too. The Etsy florist, Dexin Floral, is fantastic. She customized the order for me for color and it was no extra cost.

Ooh, I hope you hear back from your florists soon! I wouldn't have even realized being so close to a holiday could be an issue. Good thing you are on top of this and planning already! I am doing all of my florals artificial myself! I used flowers from Hobby Lobby. They go 50% off every other week.
