I'm kinda tossed between getting fake flowers and making my own arrangements (cheaper) or real flowers (more expensive & die) Your thoughts??

I had a similar problem when I was on this stage of planning!

I was debating making my own (since I love projects) and you can customize them to your preference. But, going to Michaels and Joann's, actually looking at their selection, and then putting together the price- my project would have been just as expensive as real flowers.

Especially if you want them to look particularly nice and get silk flowers. Those could add up to be MORE expensive.

That was eventually what tipped me over to the real flowers side. Also, I found a florist that was reasonably priced and also got my vision down perfectly.

You can always save your wedding bouquet by preserving it so they technically never "die," if that's your concern too!

I used fake flowers for my bouquet and my sister's. I wanted to get it done early, do it myself, and I want to keep them. However for the table I assume people will take them home or they will get thrown out so we are getting inexpensive bouquets of mixed real flowers for the tables.

Like some PP's have said, I don't really care about flowers. In my town there is a small shop that does flowers for weddings but they are fake. I went with her because it was super affordable for all I wanted, they look beautiful, and then being OCD I can get them way ahead of time and know exactly how everything will look. Here are the tall centerpieces that I just picked up. I really like everything so far but I understand fake isn't for everyone. I really never notice flowers at all and my mom likes this lady so we went with her.

I don't think flowers are that important to sink a bunch of money into them. They're pretty and great for decor and bouquet of course so if you can get away with fake, go fake, at least you could use the fake again, the real ones are headed for the trash. I've tried my best to eliminate how much money is spent on throw away items. No matter the budget, it's just good sense to save where you can, where you can't, you'll have the cash to do what you desire.

Definitely real flowers are more vibrant and elegant. But fake one also have some coms: like they don't make mess Smiley tongue

I'm looking for some good flower delivery services. Did anyone here use Avas flowers ? What do you think about them?

I have allergies, but love flowers. We had a restaurant and it was so much more economical to go fake, and they didn't have scents that interfered with the aroma of the food. The guest almost never noticed that they were fake.

So over the years I have collected some amazing fake flowers, either on sale or at garage sales. I change them out seasonally in my home, so they always look fresh and don't get dusty. I also use them to decorate at parties and showers.

So my suggestion is to get fake flowers that you love and are the right price. If you don't want to store all of them, then donate the ones you don't need to a nursing home.
