Fake Rings on Honeymoon?

I have a really inexpensive, dainty wedding band as it is so I don't really worry about that. I would leave my e-ring at home. I really don't see the reason for buying something fake just as a place holder, I can just as easily just go without something on my finger...

I wore a fake ring to our recent vacation to DR. It was the BEST idea ever. No need to put on and take off. No need to save in a safety deposit box. No need to be afraid of theft or losing it. No need to be afraid of the damages of pool water or beach water. Plus, you get to rock this whole other ring for a week or so lol. I loved it. As much as I love my ring, not wearing it for 1 week wasn't going to kill me. I was more concerned about keeping it safe and that meant leaving it at home. Who wants to deal with insurance after a vacation?

I say get a nice inexpensive fake one. Seriously no one will notice.

Thats what Im doing. I think better safe than sorry.

My FH wants me to choose something different for traveling. I don't want to to CZ or anything that's "wanna be" ring. Sorry to those who like them but I just think they are tacky.

I think I am going to get a silicone on for him as the wedding gift, I'm trying to track down a batman one.

I love the Kate Spade idea! I might check that out! I thought about the silicone ones but I don't think it fits me, it doesn't seem girly like me.

@Ciera, my thoughts exactly. I was never interested in a fake diamond. I looked up the silicone rings and there are some "stackable" ones that are super thin. I think I'm going to go with one of those instead of the 3 they show on the model.

we are going to Bora Bora to stay in an overwater bungalow so we will definitely spend most of our time in the water. Personally I agree I rather not be paranoid about my ring at all.

I got a fake ring off Groupon for like $7. I wear it when I am on vacation or in situations where I don't want my real bling. The funniest part is I get more compliments on the fake ring then my real ring (bc my real ring is a solitaire). I'm sad to not have my real ring on my honeymoon but I don't want to be stressing the whole time.

Also my sister had a fake replica of her wedding rings made by her jeweler but she travels a ton. I think that was like $300-400

I would do this. I have bought qalo(knockoffs) to wear to work since my work is rough on my hands. Also where it when I'm out hiking. I couldn't imagine loosing the real one!

I personally like qalo rings better than fakes. I feel like it'd be weird to see someone snorkeling with a diamond on, even if it's a fake. For our honeymoon, and for the cruise we are doing in a few months, I plan on bringing my wedding ring but wearing the qalo during the day when I'm out swimming and doing excursions. Then, at night I can put my ring back on.

We don't have fake rings, but in hindsight we certainly could have left our rings at home for the honeymoon! They stayed locked in the room safe all day every day as we were out on the beach or doing water activities, and we only wore them at night.

I hadn't thought about this, but definitely something to consider.
