I am curious to know how your guest count has changed due to COVID. I was holding on to hope that I could keep my 150 guest count for October, with safety measures...but no! I am not comfortable with that anymore and the health and safety of my loved ones matters most. We will drastically cut our guest list and make a decision in August of what that will look like.

We planned for 75 guests at our October wedding in CA. Invitations were sent out last week before lockdown#2. I have a feeling we might expect less guests. Waiting until mid-August to decide to postpone or not.

Oh wow! Where is your county... NorCal or SoCal? I’m here in the Bay Area. Shops are closing up again and outdoor gatherings above 12 are not an option for us yet.

We are moving our wedding date to the end of November and we will have 12 guests! (Parents, siblings, and grandparents only. Our officiant is family, too.) Outdoor venue, masks (that I’ll provide based on wedding theme colors) and social distancing by households will be mandatory. I’m planning everything based on things NOT getting better.

In my state NC we are still in phase 2 and can't have more than 25 people. Our wedding guest count is 50 so I'm hoping by next March things are better but you never know.

We are in Contra Costa County. The venue is on 10 acres so there is plenty of room to spread out. I think it also makes a difference if you have a public (owned by government parks/rec) or private venue.

Oh, interesting! Good to know. Where do you get your information on how many people can congregate in a certain area?

I found this tool online but not sure how accurate it is: https://www.latimes.com/projects/california-coronavirus-cases-tracking-outbreak/reopening-across-counties/

I have used that tool as well but I also keep checking with Contra Costa Covid Health Order/Services and going to the Religious/Cultural Ceremony and Outdoor Dining Sections for updates. What County is your wedding in?

It's crazy and interesting to see the wide range of both expectations and then the various regulations. Some states treating as business as usual, and some are still in full lockdown - I definitely see the tensions increasing both on the forums and in real life. I'm sorry all this is happening, ladies!
We're in a nonrefundable $16k all inclusive venue in VA with 100 min guest requirement. If the state changes regs, it might be a blessing in disguise since our venue won't refund or postpone.
Original plan: indoor ceremony & reception with max invite 154Now plan: -154 invite reduced to 110 invite. We think we'll hit 90 or below, we're at 45 yes with 2 weeks.-Outdoor ceremony space, but reception still had to be indoor without spending tons more -When not eating/ drinking, masks required. Period. I've told them I'll run away from guests not wearing masks - how weird to make the bride uncomfortable at her wedding. -If I'm paying for 100 anyway, I'm asking them for the tables and chairs to spread people.-We actually have put out to ppl that if testing in their area is readily available (in NoVA it is, we've gotten one without symptoms), to talk to us and we'd be happy to pay the copay for a test the week of the wedding. Most won't, but if it helps a few that's great.I'm about ready to just stick with my groom and be done. ✌️

My wedding is at the end of September. There are 200 people on my list, my planner told me to expect for half to accept an rsvp so it’ll be at around 100 to attend.

I’m in wv though we only have 1800 active cases in our state so we are low.

103 to 30 moved reception to my backyard. Invitations are going out in August to everyone if they want to attend the outdoor wedding they can. I reached out to alot of them and they expressed they are okay with coming to the wedding but not a reception. I follow a charming fete on insta check it out those wedding you wouldn’t even think covid existed. Idk how these Ohio brides are doing it?

My original guest count was already small at about 70 guests, but I believe that some of my guests will probably be cancelling and I am estimating about 40-45 people actually attending

We have a late September wedding planned and mostly payed for. Our guest list was 125 but with everything going on we are tentatively looking at 50 people. Its a crushing blow but I'm concerned that we might not even get to have that many.

Went from 200+ to 31. We want to get married but want to have the big party the way it was intended, so we are having a small ceremony and dinner With immediate family and wedding party, then we postponed our reception to 2021, then we will invite the 200

There are new NYS guidelines posted. https://sla.ny.gov/phase3-guidelines-for-on-premises-licenses

50 people max or 50 % capacity which ever is less so therefor 50 people is the most right now for venues. If venues don’t follow the rules it sounds like they can get in some serious trouble and loose their liquor license. Again, this can change for the good or bad.

I’m in California and our numbers are rising like crazy. We were in stage 3 and the governor kicked us back to stage 1 about a week ago. My venue i booked for 100-125 however they’re closed. My plan B is to host at my home and drop my guest count to 60 including bridal party.

Hey you’re getting married on my birthday! You picked a good date! LOL. I’m in Virginia too and our date is in October—our venue is a synagogue that we’re not sure is going to be open in time, so we’re working on a backup plan. BUT, our backup plan involves a MUCH smaller guest count as it’s in my parents’ backyard. I’m holding out hope that we can still have the wedding we originally planned at our synagogue. Let’s keep our fingers crossed Virginia handles things ok. Smiley heart

    🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼
They’ve been doing fairly well in the grand scheme of things. I’ve been watching the local numbers and where I’m at isn’t bad.
My concerns are the areas where our families are coming from and if they will feel safe enough traveling. The county in Pennsylvania where my FH’s family lives has gone back to “red phase” and all the counties surrounding my mom and her side of the family are also in the red phase. My father’s side is in Connecticut and I haven’t checked their numbers recently but knowing how New York and New Jersey are doing makes me a little nervous. My father just moved to northeastern Tennessee and my MOH lives in Colorado.Hopefully no drastic changes will need to be made before invites go out in September. Good luck and I hope the synagogue opens!!! ❤️
