Fall 2021 Weddings

How are you all feeling about your weddings? Ours is October 23, 2021 in Michigan and while I've been feeling pretty optimistic I am a naturally pessimistic person and am a bit nervous with everything going on.

We are getting married 10/7/2021 in Las Vegas. We are feeling pretty good, especially since the vaccine is rolling out and we are slowly opening the city. We are moving forward and getting married no matter what happens since we postponed from 2020. If we have to have a reduced guest count due to capacity restrictions then so be it, but our venue can hold 350 so our 100 person guest list shouldn't be a problem.

Pretty good, actually! We postponed a couple months from late April 2021 to early September 2021 (we're in MD) in hopes that anyone who wants a vaccine will be vaccinated by then and we're very optimistic. We don't think COVID will affect our attendance that much (FH's family is all local and we anticipate them all coming regardless; my family is all over the US and a lot were a toss-up pre-COVID anyway).

The only aspect I'm nervous about is our reception layout. The ballroom is kind of an awkward shape and at our planning meeting in February, our venue coordinator showed us how we'd have to space tables out and seat only a few people per table for social distincing. I'm hoping we'll be able to seat people normally by our wedding!

We are feeling pretty good about moving forward. Our state is currently allowing 100 indoor, 200 outdoor so we would only have to make a few, if any, cuts if that is still the order by November. The only thing I'm a little worried about is the mask thing. I don't particularly want to wear a mask, so I'm hoping maybe by then it'll be okay at least for the two of us to not have to wear masks during our ceremony. We'll see.

We’re about 90% sure we’ll be able to move forward with our wedding on Oct. 31, 2021. We postponed from 10/31/20, and are so glad that we did. We’re just watching to make sure that nothing crazy happens with the variants of the virus and see how many people end up getting vaccinated, but we’re pretty sure we’ll be fine. Good luck!

Some of our guest list have already been vaccinated - myself included. I’m in Georgia and staying positive that we’ll be okay and able to have all 150 of our guests attend whether we have to wear masks or not.

Happy wedding day buddies! I'm also October 23rd! I fell pretty good! So far mask mandates are dropping which makes me nervous it can spike up again but hopefully with this vaccine it won't. I'm going to stay completely positive. Either way I will not postpone it in any way. So far my venue hasn't shown any concern about the amount of people we have.

I’m also October 23! We are feeling very hopeful here. Lots of our family/friends are already starting to get vaccinated and our venue is outdoors, so we are hoping for the best! Keep your head up! ❤️

10/31/2021 postponed from 10/31/2020 and I'm feeling pretty optimistic.

I made an excel spreadsheet with my guest list just to keep track of addresses, guest count, etc. For peace of mind, I added a tab to keep track of who's gotten vaccinated as I hear from them or family members. Obviously it isn't a requirement to attend, but I needed some sort of visual for positivity after postponing.
