The apartment complex where I live always has a TON of pine cones in the fall, so they'll be free! Free is good LOL I really do think i'm going to go with pumpkins. They are pretty affordable too that time of year.

Is it a special date for you too? It would have been my late grandmother's 100th birthday so it's a sentimental choice

We do too, it's our favorite season, the date just fell into place. I turn 50 on October 6th, and it all of a sudden just dawned on me that meant she would have turned 100 on that day. Rob loved the idea luckily

When I think of fall colors I think of deep, rich tones. So if you do a darker purple or eggplant I think it'll fit in nicely with the season.

I suggested the pine cones to my FH and he looked at me like I was on drugs! He said "for a wedding? seriously?" I reminded him sweetly that he wants no part of the actual planning, so unless he has better ideas we may have pine cones! Still mulling it all over,,
