Fall wedding...spring colours?

Anonymous, on February 29, 2012 at 11:10 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 6

I'm getting married in October of this year, and I STILL haven't settled on colours yet. We're doing a "country fair" themed wedding, and I've been drawn to vintage colours like aqua and peach, but can I get away with that in the fall? Does anyone have any suggestions for colour palettes?

I don't see a problem with having "spring colors" for a Fall wedding but that's just my opinion- I don't think you have to match colors based on the time of year. Quite frankly I don't like when people who have fall weddings always use browns, oranges, yellows, reds, etc.

Exactly what Honey B said. Match the colors to your taste and possibly theme, and of course the venue. The season is less relevant.

I don't agree with Honey, I'm sick of every second person using aqua. I say go with a dark colour like dark brown and use the aqua or peach as an accent.

To me, the season doesn't matter. I'm with Honey - I don't like browns, oranges, and red weddings in the fall. It's so plain to me. Aqua and peach will be refreshing!

While my colors are cranberry red, burnt orange and yellowish gold, but that's because my theme is a "our season, our time". But I think it is to each his/her own. It really depends on your theme, not the season. Peach and aqua are fine colors if you decorate accordingly or maybe bring in some brown, just to add texture to it.

I think you should choose the colors that you like.

My wedding is in the fall and my colors are navy blue, ivory, and grey with a hint of purple in the flowers. Some might say those are winter colors.

I don't like brown and orange weddings. So, I would NEVER have that as my colors.

I think you should do it based on what you like and not what the season is. When you look back on your pictures, you want it to be about something you like...not what the season dictated.

I've gotten all types of opinions from people. Your color is dark, your color is this...your color is that. I learned that my color is just what it is....MY COLOR...no one elses...
