False Eyelash Question

Kris, on July 23, 2021 at 12:48 PM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 6

SO, I bought glue-on lashes, as well as magnetic lashes. I'm not as good at putting on the glue-on lashes as I am the magnetic ones, but the magnetic ones make my eyes painfully dry and ache. Has anyone had any experience with either set of lashes??? Any advice on using them/applying them/wearing for more than a few hours, etc?

If the magnetic ones are giving your problems then I wouldn't use them. I've personally never had a problem with the magnetic ones but I prefer eyelash extensions over both. They are more secure and they definitely last longer. However if you want to use lash strips (glue-on lashes), could you have someone else put them on for you? Everytime I've worn them I had my MUA put them on me and it was so much easier than me trying to put them on myself.

I definitely recommend eyelash extensions over both magnetic and lash strips though!

I'm doing my own makeup so I am my own MUA. This is the last time I did them myself--adhesive, not magnetic.

The glue on ones take a lot of practice. My only advice would be to just keep practicing, watch tutorials, etc. If the magnetic ones are painful then I definitely wouldn't wear them on your wedding day. Personally, I got so fed up with them that I got lash extensions.

If you're looking to try something else, I switched from strip lashes to Ardell last trios. The come in short and long per pack. Since they are smaller and you apply them individually, I found them to be WAY easier to manage with some tweezers and they always look beautiful! I haven't experienced sensitivity with them ever.

They don't seem out of place in this picture!. Maybe you could try a different brand of magnetic lashes (I ordered some from Amazon and loved them) or keep practicing with the lash strips if you aren't confident in them!

Try individual lashes. The kind that has a few hairs coming from a single point, they are easier to apply and easier to take one off you messed one up than to start all over. You set these on top of your lashes as opposed to the base of your eyelid.

I like the Ardell packs that come with short, medium, and long. Use the short ones on your inner eye and to build a base in sparse sections, and then use the med-long ones in the middle and outer corner of your eye to create the shape you want.

It's good to buy a few packs and practice, and I recommend getting the lash dou glue that dries black to get the most seamless look.
