False eyelashes...yes or no?

I think it would look very nice, but thinking it might be a pain in the butt if it's hott outside or they start falling off! what do you think?

Don't be a wuss. I wear fake eyelashes for parties all the time, hot, cold, raining... they don't hurt your eyes and they look awesome... The only hard part is putting them on right. Try a few kinds and stick with the non-permanent glue- it should look like elmers, not clear. Practice practice practice

Practice so you get them right on the big day because once you get used to applying them, it's easy goings from then on out!

Lashes are great for pictures! If you buy them yourself, I would also make sure you cut them (with small nail scissors) to the actually size of your eye, so they look most natural. I trim mine as well, so they are not as long, but that's personal preference.

They do not hurt when you remove them, although you might want makeup remover for the wedding night to get off the glue (I like Mary Kay's eye makeup remover).

I also put mascara on over my fake eyelashes to make sure they blend in well with my original lashes.

I thought about false eyelashes, but since I did my own make-up, I really didn't want the hassle, as I've never worked with them before. I just got a really good volumizing mascara and applied several coats, and I was happy. Not sure how the pictures will turn out, so I guess that's the true test!

I had them....they were beautiful. My makeup lady included them in her price of $200 for both hair and makeup. They started to fall off a bit near the end of the night but It's my fault because I told her I am not the crying type and apparently I am.....

I say go for it, but have someone put them on for you, and carry a tube of eyelash glue in your purse.

My MUA put them on, inclusive with the rest of the airbrush makeup. They weren't hard to adjust to and they stayed on in Florida (in July) heat and humidity. In fact, by the end of the day, I totally forgot that they were on and I fell asleep in them. I woke up in the morning wondering why my lids were stuck together, lol!

Personally, I think if I were to wear them I'd end up looking like a drag queen. I'm not overly feminine and don't wear makeup very much. It's going to make me look a bit "not me" just to be in my wedding outfit, but I think it would be too much for me to wear fake lashes. On other people, if you know what you're doing, they look really good, and if you don't, I'd suggest practicing for a while or get someone else to do it. Honestly, no one will tell you that you look like a drag queen, but if you go with really long lashes and don't do them right, you'll look a bit freakish. IMO

My husband and I went to prom together (6 years ago) and I wore them there, he hated them. Haha it was weird because he is totally a make up guy, meaning not they type that tells me not to wear make up or something. But he just really didn't like them.

This didn't stop me from wearing them at our wedding, I just wore smaller ones and he liked them. I'm not skilled enough to put them on myself so I had the make up artist do it and they never fell off.

Definitely, go for the false eyelashes, but use individual Eyelash Extensions, as Belle Sour suggests. They are not glued to the eyelid, but to your own lashes, and they look very natural while enhancing the eye tremendously (sample photo attached). They are sold at drugstores, and should be only used with Perma-Lash glue (sold next to them!). Have a professional put them on, and they will last you from 24 to 48 hours (and sometimes more!). To remove them without hurting your lashes, use baby oil, which dissolves the glue. Good luck!

I had the strip kind and they looked fine. My actual eyelashes with mascara would probably have been longer, but I was really afraid of crying.

Thank you for al the advice everyone! On a different note, does anyone else have problems with waterproof mascara?

it won't come off when I want it to come off ever, but when I don't want it to come off during the day, it leaves black smudges all over my eyelids and looks tacky and horrible!

As cool as I think these look, I wouldn't suggest them.

If you go to the mall, MAC and shu uemura have great lash bars. You could consult with a pro and they'll be able to answer all your questions and give you the best recommendation.

Good question cause my hair/make-up artist just asked me if I wanted them for my wedding.

My question is do you know they are there and do they get annoying? How easy are them to take off if throughout my night they get annoying?

I wanted to, but then I just never did get any...I'm not sure how I looked in pictures and stuff ad I haven't seen any yet..but I felt BEAUTIFUL without them.. I can reccomend some mascaras though:

Maybelline falsies waterproof! Love them, I usually do the wiggle and brush up with mascara but I find the blinking technique to work best with this kind
