  Do you guys or even your kids have a favorite song? Something that means something to you all? If not, I think that music playing would be fine.

  We had a sand ceremony at our wedding and we didn't have music playing during it and it never even crossed our mind to have music during it.

  You can do whatever you want- if you just want background music or nothing at all, up to you. You know your guests & the vibe of your wedding. Talk with your DJ & get their input.
