Family style served dinner yay or nay?

I am having an intimate wedding 70-85 guests. My venue is a house that has been turned into a event venue so it has that old style charm. I have been going back and forth on whether to have a family style served dinner or buffet, plated is not an option. Has anyone had or is thinking bout this...

I love family style! My venue offers it as an option for the buffet. They will do it for the bridal party but we have the option of adding on additional tables for a fee, so we've decided to add on the parents/grandparents tables and I'd also like to for elderly guests. If we have room in our budget I'd love to do it for every table!

We are having family style for our wedding. I can't wait. I'm not crazy about buffet. I don't like the thought of guests having to get up and get their food. Kind of tacky to me (just my opinion). I like family style because they keep serving it so guests can get full. Also, as a guest, I wouldn't want to be all dressed up carrying food across the room walking in my hills. The thought just makes me shudder. With buffet, you also have to worry about running out of food.

    Hope that helps.

I love family style; I wonder if they could do the salad course as plated? That would add another course and stretch out your dinner time.

We are actually having a "semi-family style" reception. Guests will have plated soup, salad, entree and dessert and also there will be two additional entrees served family style. At first I wasn't thrilled with the idea but the more I think about it the more I like the different options it offers our guests.
