faq page, are you really telling people what colors not to wear?

I put a jokey answer on my FAQ. I need to revisit them anyhow but for that question I just put "Wear what floats your boat! Except maybe white for obvious reasons..."

I am not telling anyone what to wear. Even when people ask me, like my mom, or my Grandma I have no idea what to tell them. I just want people to be comfortable. With that said, I would rather people did not wear white or show up entirely underdressed, but that is really not something I can control. so that is up to them.

I think it can be In poor taste depending on the guest . My sister in law wants to wear a Fire engine red ball gown to my pastel wedding. In our families and social circles, this is considered a faux pas to mention any dress code or list colors to wear and avoid. Your guests are not props and adults do know how to dress themselves appropriately.
