faq suggestions on couples website

Hello,

What type of questions do you generally put in the FAQ section on the wedding website? I saw the great idea to have one on the site as a way to notify individuals that our wedding is an "Adult Only Celebration" i.e. NO KIDS! I also want to address attire, as we are having a destination beach wedding but I don't want anyone showing up in shorts or jeans. Otherwise, I can't think of any other questions individuals may have that need an answer. What questions would you have? Note: I have already addressed travel accommodations and COVID protocols on a separate "travel" page.

I took the faq opportunity to let people know what it was going to be like... Will there be dinner served? Will alcoholic beverages be available? What will the music be like? Where are the restrooms? Lol I put that one there because our ceremony is outside and I needed to make it clear that the only restroom is inside where I'll be getting ready. Hoping they get the hint to go before they arrive or wait till after the ceremony.
Since we're having it at a historic place, I explained the history of the dance hall and felt it was appropriate to acknowledged the indigenous people who originally lived there too. Another thing that was helpful if you haven't addressed on the travel page is where to park and if there's a charge for parking.

    Here is mine :

What is the weather like in Florida in May?

May in Florida is gorgeous. The average temperature in Sarasota in May for a typical day ranges from a high of 85°F (29°C) and a low of 73°F (23°C). Some would describe it as pleasantlywarm with a gentle breeze. The average day in Sarasota during May has 13.5 hours of daylight, with sunrise at 6:42 am and sunset at 8:10 pm. In May, Sarasota is moderately humid with an average amount of 68% (relative humidity), which could be described as humid but cool.

Ok, so what is this event place like?

Bird Key Yacht Club is a private club with a marina and bar/dining room and a large event room. It is only open to the public for booking special events (like our wedding!!!!) They have a beautiful outdoor, COVERED patio that will be set up with chairs, etc. for our wedding ceremony. At the time of this writing, our cocktail hour will be set up on the concrete decking around their beautiful inground pool. If this changes due to weather conditions, it will be held in their casual member dining room. The reception will be in their large event room.

What the heck is "dressy casual"?

Guys, don't pack a suit jacket or tie! The wedding party isn't even wearing tuxes. That being said, nice dress pants and a collared shirt are perfect. Please, absolutely no jeans, cutoffs or shorts.

Gals, put those formal and evening gowns away, this is FLORIDA!! Dress pants and a nice top, or a nice "Sunday best" dress is perfect. Out of respect for the bride, please don't wear white.

Are photos or videos allowed during the ceremony?

We kindly ask that phones be silenced and kept in your pockets or purse during the ceremony, and that you do not use personal cameras or tablets to take pictures.

    Tell us about the FOOD!!

There will be delicious passed Hors d'oeuvres during the cocktail hour. At this time it is too early for us to choose our definite menu, but we will have a selection of a plated meal of a beef, chicken or seafood entrée. Check back for more details as the time gets nearer. Beer, wine and non-alcoholic drinks will be provided. Due to the fact that this is a private club for members only, there is no additional bar available to purchase mixed drinks.

Ours has the dress code (and a brief explanation of what we interpreted that dress code to mean), whether guests could take/ post pictures (unplugged ceremony, no phones in church, but they're welcomed afterwards and we listed our hashtag), parking situation, transportation options, suggested arrival times, what the weather is typically like, whether kids were invited, whether any part of the day would be outdoors, what happens after the ceremony, food/ drink options, and why we picked our ceremony/ reception venues. We'll probably add an RSVP deadline once we send out formal invitations as well. Other ideas are if there would be childcare options, dinner options, who to contact with other questions, who to contact on the wedding day if there's an issue, bridal party colors, etc. I definitely think having the FAQs are a great idea to at least limit the number of times you'll have to repeat the same info lol.
