Def. getting the long engagement question. Other frequent questions are: "Have you picked a venue?" , "Do you know who will be in the bridal party?", "Have you picked a date?"

I haven't really gotten questions in a while, especially now that my wedding is two years away. However, when we first got engaged, it wasn't so much a question that we frequently got, but mostly people telling us that they expect an invite lol. Otherwise, not many people asked us questions, and we don't really talk about wedding planning with anyone else.

We got “why such a long engagement?” Like we can throw together our dream wedding in a week?! Lol. Now it’s “how’s all the planning going? Is there anything I can do?” I’ve accepted a few offers like my step sister making fresh strawberry lemonade.

"Can't wait to get my invite!" from people who are most definitely not getting an invite.

This exact question from a lot of our guests! Haha and also, “what kind of food?”

I had a lot of people say this to us too!!! Luckily, it was at a time where we hadn't sent out Save The Dates or anything yet, so we just responded with a generic "we haven't figured out our guest list yet".

Haha yes, ON POINT. Luckily we knew our friends/family well enough to know that was something we'd have to budget for, even though I never drink and my husband almost never drinks (and didn't the day before and on wedding day). We wanted to make sure our guests had a great time Smiley smile

Well, we did get asked lots of questions in the beginning of our engagement, like "when's the date", "who are your bridesmaids", "what are the groomsmen wearing", but I think the most question we were asked was "where are you getting married?/what's the name of the venue?" It just seemed liked so many people where wondering where/city we were getting married in and I always answered the same way haha. Even my FH at the time (now husband) was asked that and he forgot the name of the venue sometimes haha. 🤦‍♀️

I never understood this. It's unfortunate that some ppl choose not to go to events bc their significant other isn't invited. My FH's brother is like this. He wouldn't even attend a family reunion bc he didn't have a date or gf to bring.

“Can I come to your wedding” - friends parent who didn’t even invite my parents to their wedding

“My parents were wondering if they’re invited?” -from friends I’ve spoken to on how we already have 200 people invited (not including plus 1s) and dont even see their parents lol.
I’ve noticed A LOT of people either inviting themselves or thinking that their entire family is invited even after I’ve talked about how stressed I am with how large the wedding already is. Also a few people I’ve lost touch with have done random “hey how have you been? When’s the big day”....which I find extremely awkward.
