Farmer Tan...#facepalm

Lolerskates84, on August 25, 2016 at 3:01 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 18

I tan really easily. I run outside a lot. I've gotten into the habit of wearing high spf sunscreen while out running (still tan tho, but not as much). Welp...2 days before the big day and I just went for my run, absentmindedly forgot sunscreen, and now i have a farmer tan. I don't have time to go outside to even it out today or tomorrow....working both days and running around with last min items.

Should I try a self tanning lotion? Never tried one before. Again...wedding is Sat (!)

Do I deal with it? Maybe it will fade by Sat? It's not very dark, but it's there...

Self tanner is tricky you can easily turn yourself orange with the wrong one (however I'm sure their are really good quality ones that don't do this). Maybe see how it is tomorrow morning and go from there?

I wouldn't suggest a self tanner two days before the wedding. Could you stop by a tanning booth and go for like 10 minutes to even it out? Wear arm warmers or something so you don't over do your arms?

Sally Hansen airbrush legs is what i use to even myself out! you just have to make sure if you're wearing a light color you put it on the night before. it comes off with soap and water. it's meant for legs but i put some on my upper arms/shoulders to help even out some scarred skin. I swear by the stuff.

ETA I suggest that because it's easier to get off than most. I really like the foam with a light hand.

Ok, so go to the drugstore and get yourself some Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs. The spray bottle. I, too, tan easily and will have this in my tool kit for wedding day to blend any tan lines

Yes the airbrush legs is amazing!!!! I don't tan for anything, I am super pale but for a few functions I have used that and it never makes me orange and it washes right off. It looks very natural and it always hid my skin disorder on my arms.

I got it for our first round of e pics and put it on too soon before I got dressed. My suggestion is to put it on right before you go to bed the night before.

@ Candia H & Sarah Ann - I got some of the Sally Hansen airbrush stuff. I was going to use it on my chest & arms for the wedding. It's kind of sparkly - do you think it'll photograph weird? I don't want to look like a glittering fool in pictures for the rest of time.

Nope!! The slight shimmer worried me a bit too. I had it on for both our shoots for e-pics and you can't tell it's shimmery. If nothing else it makes your skin glow a bit i think Smiley smile

Jergens natural glow? I believe is what it's called. Subtle and works amazing. I am slowly working on my farmers tan cover. Good luck on the tan

My photographer told me to PLEASE note do any fake tanning, especially spray, because it shows weird in photos.

I made the mistake of going spray tanning the day before my wedding because they said the color would be better the closer I went, well needless to say it looked great but when I sweat just a tiny bit I noticed my white dress becoming orange in spots despite it looking like a bronze glow. Don't do it! Learn from my stupidity!

St. Tropez self tanner applied with their mitt works amazingly! Not sure if there's an Ulta near you but they sell both products there. It is a foam and not a lotion and is super easy to apply. Put it on at night and wash it off in the shower the next day. It is not orange whatsoever and there's no shimmer in it. Just be sure not to get it on your hands or feet!!

Or, just rock the tan you've got. Your day will be amazing regardless!!
