Fasting for Two Days

CherieAmour87, on August 13, 2016 at 5:33 PM Posted in Fitness and Health 0 60

Hello. I am currently starting a fasting diet where I only drink coffee and lots of water for two days. I can have some protein if needed, but the goal is to shrink my stomach. When I purchased my wedding dress, I weighed 128 lbs. The zipper wouldn't zip at the very top (near upper back and bust area), and I just needed to lose 5 lbs and do some arm workouts then. I am 5'2" and now weight 158 lbs. I need to lose 35 pounds and a friend of mine said this works. She a ballerina and says whenever she needs to lose 10 lbs fast, she drinks nothing but coffee and water for a whole day. Except Im just going to have a little bit of protein as well and am going to do this for 2 days. After the two days I am going to start a low carb diet with some light exercise routines, and running. Has anyone done this and if so does it work really good? thanks

You have plenty of time before your wedding. This is totally unnecessary and sounds harmful.

Skip the fasting and just start with the lower carb higher protein diet now with exercises. Fasting will actually slow your metabolism down because your body is essentially starving and trying to hold on to all of its nutrients. So when you start eating again your body will hold on to all you eat because it thinks it will starve again.

And low carb doesn't mean no carb. You can eat whole wheat and whole grain foods. Carbs are in everything. Even broccoli. Just eat proper portions and limit carbs during your last meal of the day.

Omg don't do this "diet." Are you kidding right now? This will do you no good. Start shrinking your portions and your stomach will shrink too.

This is a bad idea. I've done the lemon/cayenne/maple syrup one for like 8 days and lost a ton! But that's also a bad idea. I also did a juice cleanse and it worked really well

SO stands for significant other. And wtf to the "diet". Please don't starve yourself and ruin your kidneys and stomach lining for the sake of a dress you're going to wear all of once. Just do a normal diet and extra exercise. Losing weight is about burning more calories than you consume.

    Look into intermittent fasting.

2 days of not eating really isn't going to do anything long term. Why not just start the low carb diet and exercise now?

Bad idea. Coming from someone that's a nurse...don't do this. Just doing very low carb will work well...lots of water, no soda, etc.

    The fuck?

    NO.

    NO NO NONONONONONONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoO

    Just NO.

This is a fucking horrible idea.

    Jesus.

Okay- now that that's out of my system.

    35 pounds- assume roughly 1 pound a week. that's roughly 8.75 months.

Assume you will lose more weight in the beginning- and as you reach closer to your goal weight- you'll lose less.

Assume also- you won't be entirely accurate or consistent- assume 7 months.

you are currently 9 months from your wedding- and you still will need alterations- so that's really like 7 months.

    PERFECT.

    You can do this.

    Eat less.

    Move more.

You want to maximize calories that make you feel full- but aren't high in calories. Don't completely eliminate something from your life unless it's A. giving you an allergic reaction- or a physically bad side effect or B. it's REALLY a trigger food for you that causes you to eat until you want to puke.

No need for crazy crash diets- it's unhealthy and not likely to leave you successuful

Slow and stead wins the race- the biggest thing people lack from their weight goals? consistency and patience- they give up far to soon- and are far to inconsistent.

with a game plan- consistency and patience- you cannot fail. You just have to be stubborn about it.

Thank you @Alyssa... I will just do the low carb diet. And thats exactly what I was going to start but I will skip the fasting. I was trying to look it up online if this was healthy or not, and the only thing I could find was how people fast for religious purposes. Nothing mentioned how healthy it was. But instead I will have plenty of protein, veggies, and fruits, and for bread/etc... just have whole grain, wheat. Im going stop eating after 6pm, and try to start sleeping closer to around 9pm, instead 11pm like I used to... lol... And drink 8-10 bottles of water per day... With jogging 3 times a week, and alternative exercises 2 times a week... with 2 days off of my body to rest... Ive never tried dieting before, so don't know where to start, and from all the research Ive done, it seems the low carb diet is a pretty healthy one. Thanks Smiley smile

OMG. I was a dancer. Add in cigarettes and yep that's the perfect diet. First of all" shrinking the stomach" with diet is a myth. Secondly you metabolism will slow down with starvation.
