Faux Cakes in Tampa Bay Area, Florida

Stevi, on November 3, 2013 at 3:37 PM Posted in Planning 0 6

Hi guys,

If anyone is in the Tampa Bay Area in Florida, or surrounding area I'm looking for a place that I can contact to get a faux cake rental. I have been trying to google search faux cakes in the area but the only people that have come up are the ones that will ship from Canada or way too far away. Does anyone know a bakery in the area that does faux cake rentals? Please help!!

Thanks!!

A lot of bakers use faux cakes to showcase their skills, but maybe not all of them rent them out.

Do you plan to have a real cake (of any size)? Check with that baker for referrals.

Yeah Nancy, I just wanted the faux cake for the cutting part. I want to have sheet cake in the back so we can serve and it is more reasonable money wise!

I was going to have a fake layer on my cake, and that made it more expensive -- I just took off the extra tier. Be sure to shop around to make sure having the fake cake is actually a money saver for you -- simply having fewer layers may be more cost effective. Heck, even a cake from Publix can be more reasonable than a fake cake & sheet cake.

Can't help with specific bakeries, ours was done by a friend of a family friend. But yay for more Tampa area brides!

And Publix cake is delicious, so... Smiley smile

Another option is cupcakes, but I know that's not for everyone. But I've been to 3 different weddings with Publix cake and you really wouldn't know the difference unless you are a cake baker yourself and do this for a living.
