Hi everyone, What are the best bridesmaid's gifts you've personally received or what would you LIKE to receive if you were a bridesmaid? What would you just love? What would you just toss to the side? I know we all have awesome ideas of what to give our girls, but has anyone ever been a part of a WP...

Hi everyone,

What are the best bridesmaid's gifts you've personally received or what would you LIKE to receive if you were a bridesmaid? What would you just love? What would you just toss to the side?

I know we all have awesome ideas of what to give our girls, but has anyone ever been a part of a WP and received something awesome - or not so awesome?

Let us know - and post links/stores if you have them!

Thanks!

-Amy

I'm such a DIY person that my MOH us getting a leather hip purse that I am making. Its a kit from the leather store but I am stamping her first initial and some scrollwork on it. She can thread a belt through the back to wear on the motorcycle, and it also.comes with a shoulder strap. Inside I am stamping stamping the wedding date and a little saying of thanks for being my best friend and MOH. I would rather give something personal and from the heart....

@Lulu, I'm not sure what the material is -- water beads right off and it's pretty strong. I'm sure the Envirosax website tells you the specific material.

I got them when they had a Groupon of a set of 4 for $9 and $3 shipping, so $3/each. They had another Groupon maybe 6 months back? They were $15 for a set, I think, maybe $20, but still well price. On the website they're more expensive, if you can, wait for a Groupon or Living Social deal.

Also, here's the fabric flip flops I made for my girls.

*gasp* no wine??? Haha I understand though most of my WP wouldn't enjoy it either- it seems as if you get the right kind of bag most ppl would enjoy that (whether it be a clutch or a tote).

I've only been in one wedding- I received jewelry it was very red- I wear it but only with my one red shirt (although it is very pretty).

I'm giving my BM's Oscar bags, pearls (necklace, bracelet, and earrings), emergency kits, sole savers, heel savers, pashmina, their hair & make up for the day, and a frame that I'll be mailing to them with a picture of me with each one in a frame.

Coach wallet and a nice bottle of wine (at the rehearsal dinner, so we'd have some place to put it).

Another bride gave me a beautiful photo of us together at the wedding in a gorgeous frame and a gift card to a salon that we love.

I really think the best gifts are not really related to the wedding or are things that I will use after the wedding. Not to say that you shouldn't get them BM jewelry, but that shouldn't be the only gift you give them, IMO.

So far I got my girls

shots glasses that I made with their names on them, make up bags, filled with M.A.C make up, vera wang perfume, bath & body works lotions, and victoria secret lip gloss.

I also bought their dresses. I think I am going to load their bags with mini wine bottles and I want to do some more but can't think of what else to add.

I gave my bridesmaids Plum Pretty Sugar robes. They're an online store only...www.plumprettysugar.com. They were perfect for asking them to be part of my day, for getting ready the day of, and for even after the wedding! My girlfriends tell me they still wear their robes everyday!

When I was a MOH I got a Pandora bracelet and two charms that reflect me, love it and it's now got many more charms and i wear it almost every day! I hadn't even heard of Pandora before then and now all i want is more charms..ugh lol Everyone got those but as the MOH i also got a picture frame Smiley smile

For my girls I got them coach travel bags (great sale) and i know they will be used, I got them makeup bags that i couldn't pass up on a Groupon of some sort. I'll be putting their jewelry in it and some emergency items. I'm thinking i will throw in a bottle of wine and a picture frame for the MOH but haven't decided yet.

Oh my gosh thank you so much!! I was really struggling with what to get for my girls - This is my second wedding and all 3 of them were in my first one. But I got some great ideas from this forum, so THANK YOU!!! Here's what I'm thinking:

    1. I already got them the day-of jewelry and it is sliver with pearls

    2. Flip flops for the day of

    3. These girls have been with me forever, so I think I'm going to do a personalized picture frame for each of them with a picture of me and the individual girl from a long time ago, thanking them for sticking by me through everything.

    THANK YOU!!!

My MoH, when she got married, she got us the obligatory necklace and shawl that matches the BM dress. As a personal touch, she got us each a purse she know we'd love: mine's shaped like a hard covered gold gilded novel, and one bridesmaid got a punkish one and the third got a girly one... I also got a flask with a galloping rainbow unicorn on it. It was pretty awesome.

In turn I made my bridesmaids warm shawls since our wedding's in late fall, a manicure set, and my MoH's hallowe'en costume pieces she didn't want to splurge on (wig, accessories, etc.) to complete her outfit. I also made the maternity gown for my other bridesmaid.

In hindsight it felt like I gave a lot...it was pushing my budget. Nonetheless it was fun to make & buy things for them since they are great friends.
