Favorite part of wedding planning?

Okay yes wedding planning is super stressful but there are some parts I do miss. My favorite part of wedding planning was the cake tasting and the trial. While I am happy to be married and glad the stress is over there are some parts I do miss about planning a wedding. Any part of wedding planning...

Any part of wedding planning you like if you are planning or miss if you got married?

I’ve got to say, I have enjoyed pretty much every aspect of wedding planning (with the exception of finances and guest list). I had no idea how fun it would be!

I honestly enjoyed every part of wedding planning! The only part that I don't miss is creating the guest list. That was a little tricky for us. But everything else was so much fun! I love the cake tasting, dress shopping, venue hunting, all of it! I am definitely a bride with wedding blues even 14 months later.

I do miss something to look forward too and some aspects. Yeah at one point we considered a small wedding and the guest list would have stressed me.

I haven't gotten married yet, but one part I did enjoy was planning my engagement shoot with my fh and I. That was literally the first thing we did as soon as we got engaged last year, and it was such a blessing. I loved scouting potential shoot locations, I loved choosing out what clothes to wear, and I especially loved talking one on one with different photographers, finding the perfect one.

We’ve been lucky that the only annoying part has been the guest list. (It’s annoying in the sense that we have people on it that we are obligated to include but don’t actually like lol)
Planning during a pandemic certainly made things interesting, but I’ll have fun stories to share one day!

Ugh I hate that about certain events where you have to include someone you don't want to look. Sorry about that. I completely understand.

We had a limited menu. The first since the new management of the Inn, with a new cook used to a much bigger classy restaurant. And they jad not opened the restaurant. We made some suggestions, and my parents did , and they did. One other couple signed on after us, next month, so they did not change our requests. And the Inn staff the 6 of us with parents ans them with 1 parent, feasted. In the end we chose 10 possible entrees, of 16, 8 sides, real bread basket variety, and many desserts, including a couple layer cakes and lots of others. It was the first time my FFIL and I had a truce. Talking and laughing and stories all around. We started with appetizers at 4 then dinner 2 hours after we finished. Then a break, then desserts. We fonished at 10. The Inn staff was soon opening for business, us in a couple months, And we were the 3rd wedding, bigger, more formal, more choices. So it was party time for them. The othet couple was 2 18 years olds, very shy, and an older aunt, grand, godmother? Like little mice when we started, and raptly listening to stories, joining in the spirit when they realized we might be different, but would not bite. Had a great meal at the wedding.
