Wedding planning is certainly stressful! I've experienced many of those moments as well (guest list being the most stressful part of my wedding planning), but also have experienced a lot of fun things too! I'm glad that you enjoyed the venue tours and dress shopping! How many venues did you tour?

I am a planner by nature but boy wedding planning is in a whole league of its own - I liked wedding planning until I had to postpone my wedding and then downsize (I effectively planned 3 separate weddings ).

I thought I would have liked the cake tasting but despite being a massive dessert lover, there were so many disappointing cakes we tried that I almost got sick of eating tasters because there were just so many of them!

Anyone planning a wedding during COVID will definitely have some interesting stories down the road. I also agree with you on the cake tastings. They did seem like a fun idea going into it (and I love desserts!), but after trying a few options, they all started to taste the same. We ended up just tasting 2-3 flavors at a time, then would set the rest aside for a few hours (or even the next day), and then taste another 2-3 options, etc, until we got through them all. The venue food tasting was a much more fun experience though!

So far I've enjoyed venue shopping and dress shopping the most. Both of these really made it feel real. Venue because I got to envision what our wedding would be like in those spaces and really figure out what I wanted for the wedding. Dress shopping because it was the first time I felt like a bride and I got treated like a princess.

We pretty much knew the moment we saw it that it fit what we were looking for perfectly. Did it take you much time to decide on yours? Getting to see the space and envision the decor options and seeing the place where you will be married is such a good feeling! Awesome that you had a great experience dress shopping! How many stores did you end up visiting before finding the dress?

No, we're thinking about another trip right after the honeymoon. But so far everything is at the planning stage
